So Santa arrived about 1:30 and the boys were up at 2:00, we did get them back in bed until about 4, just to make sure Santa had time to get here. I cannot believe they were up so early. Well Danny was and he waited till 4 to wake John Michael.
It was great to head downstairs and see all of the amazing things that Santa had left. The boys got a game table that has like 12 games they can play. They also got all sorts of legos, Wii Games, DS Games, books, Crayons, Markers, Candy, Nerf Guns, board games, and so much more. Santa definitely made it a great day for the boys, so full of magic. They also are able to keep the elves through the Epiphany which is amazing for them. For these 12 days of Christmas though the elves will give the boys a good deed to do each and in turn they will make even more of a connection to Christ. Next year I think the elves will have them do this through Advent and Christmas.
We came upstairs to open presents, and so I could get breakfast started. We had ham and biscuits, which is Brandon's favorite Christmas morning breakfast. While we said the blessing, we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. This is my favorite thing to do Christmas and I always cry during the song. There is something truly amazing about Christmas and the celebration of Jesus' birthday.
The presents under the tree were abundant, and I am so thankful for all of my gifts. The boys' said that it was the best Christmas ever and this made my day.
Meme, Pop, Meemaw, Uncle Brock, and Aunt B came by to visit and see what Santa brought to us. It was great getting to visit with them.
We had a great day at home with each other. This is what makes Christmas so great, we stay home and enjoy the day and each other. There are not many days that we are able to do that so when we can I am so thankful for them. I hope that everyone had very special, magical and Merry Christmas!

Legos
So as productive as yesterday was today was pretty much static. I am not sure what the deal was, but it was just that so I made do.
We went to the store so that we could have groceries in the house. It is never an easy trip with the boys, I usually end up with only half of what I needed to get yet twice as much as I was planning on. Does that make any sense? Well, I am sure to all moms out there it makes perfect sense.
We came home and Danny wanted to play with his legos and asked if he could bring them upstairs. I said yes, but told him to remember that his room was clean and that I wanted to keep it that way. I was working in the kitchen and well, I heard them hitting the floor. Never a good sign. I was irritated, but decided that I would finish putting the groceries up and then play Legos with him.
The boys and I had a great time playing with Legos. Tomorrow I will focus more on the things that I have to be ale to get done. The rest of the house that is!
Well, I am off to bed. I know that this short, but I am exhausted! I am enjoying Danny's Birthday week though. Tomorrow I will probably be a bit of a wreck as it is Danny's last day to be seven! Time is flying. Waffles for breakfast they are his favorite!
Good night, and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!

Lions, Tigers, and LEGOS Oh My!!
Today was a nice Friday, typical with Brandon and John Michael home. We spent most of the morning playing with legos. It was fun! When Danny got out of school we all went to pick him up and had a really nice afternoon and evening.
I have been trying to declutter and came across a lot of CDs. Most of them have pictures on them from when Danny was a baby. I have definitely dried a lot of tears as I was able to see so many pictures of my dad and many of them were from my dad. I miss him so much and while I have had to keep living I often wonder how different things would be if he were here. I know that he is healthy now though and that he is with God, and while that makes me smile, it also hurts. I figure it always will.
I have a lot to get done this weekend and it does not look like going to Auburn is in the cards. That is slightly upsetting, as I wish we could be there. I love my Auburn Tigers and while I will not be there physically, my heart is always with them! Plus we really do not need to spend the money on the gas at this point. Maybe if it would warm up a little I would be able to get some photo shoots in.
So, I am watching the news and am concerned about the words significant and snow being used together. Does anyone know where Al Gore is these days? I would love to discuss global warming with him, but I would like for him to spend the night in Alabama (Grayson Valley) outside in his underwear.
Danny has his third basketball game in the morning and I am very excited about it, and he is too! He really loves it and I am so glad. Baseball will be starting soon, so I am going to change my address to the Clay Ballpark. Both boys are playing so hectic will be a key word!
Well, I am headed to bed guys....still not making that 9:00 deadline. I will keep trying though! I will be saying a prayer for all of my friends and family tonight. For everyone going to Auburn, have a wonderful time and take some pictures for me! Also be safe! I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend! See you all Saturday!
