Happy 6th Birthday John Michael

So I woke up this morning with the unbelievable realization that my baby is six years old. I have to admit that I am a little sad. He is growing up so quickly and into such a charming young man. We woke him up by singing Happy Birthday to him, and he woke up in the best mood!

Since Danny was sick I called my mom to see if she could come sit with him since I had a full day at the school planned with John Michael and his class. She was glad to do it, she hated that Danny was not feeling good, but knew that I was torn on being in two places at the same time. I am so thankful that she was able to come and sit with him. He liked the time with his Nana too.

Because the Kindergarten had a field trip they got to wear jeans and their spirit shirts, which was awesome in his eyes. No uniform on his birthday!

I took John Michael to school and then hung out waiting for his class. We were headed to Children's Theater to see The Little Engine that Could. John Michael was so funny. He knew that his teachers and Mr. Wright planned this trip just for his birthday, he even told them thank you for doing it. So sweet. I had Caleb, Cathy, and John Michael with me. Miss Ghossein also rode with me, which made John Michael's day. He loves his teacher, which makes me so happy. The play was really cute, the kids loved it. It ended up being Rusty's, the train, birthday too. Again, John Michael thought that it was awesome, he shared a birthday with a man who is a train.

After we got back to the school I headed out for a cupcake hunt, which I was worried would be a nightmare. Publix in Irondale had 30 Batman Cupcakes already prepared. It was awesome!!! I was really worried I would be limited to flowers since I did not order them and he wanted them for his class and Miss Noto's. He also wanted them to all get some M&M's. That was an easy order to fill. When I took them to the class the kids were so excited, but especially John Michael. I love the way that his eyes light up when I come to his class, it is a magical mommy moment.

We headed home after school and Danny was feeling much better which meant a lot to John Michael because we were still going to be able to go to Outback for his birthday dinner. It was delicious and even though a Bitch tried to ruin it while we were there a wonderful man who was celebrating his 72nd birthday made up for her. Some people seriously should not be allowed in public though. I have not had the maddening desire to hit someone in a long time. Seriously just rude, and hateful, and well rude. Thank you mom, Sybil, and Deborah for coming with us to celebrate his 6th birthday.

Today was a super special day! Happy Birthday to my sweet John Michael. Just remember you will always be my baby!!!

Danny Man is 8

So this morning Danny was up first. Completely dressed and ready to start the day! Of course this meant basketball shorts instead of what I wanted him to wear but that is okay. He was happy and comfortable and I still managed some great shots of him for his Birthday!

We started the Day out at Whataburger for breakfast. John Michael was telling the cashier that it was Danny's birthday and Danny got a cinnamon roll from them. He was embarrassed at first that John Michael was telling everyone it was his special day, but when he started to get some freebies he felt pretty good.

We ended up going to several stores, he contemplated the movies but chose Academy over that. It was Charlie Brown's birthday too, our Beagle is 4, and so we stopped by Pet Smart to get him a few treats to celebrate too. He seemed excited to have a new wheel on a rope, a new ball, and then a bone! The boys love surprising the dog, which is sweet. I just wish that they would play with him more.

John Michael picked Danny out a toy that was just from him. It was Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Anyway, we got it while we were shopping. We came home so John Michael could wrap it. I gave him some Happy Birthday paper, he said no. Then some Batman, and again no. He wanted Sponge bob, the thing is the Sponge Bob is Christmas. He used it and wrapped the gift all by himself. It was a sweet moment.

We got Danny a Tackle Box at Academy with a little tackle and a 3D DS. He was pumped!

We went to Outback for dinner and it was yummy. Danny ended up getting the mixed grill, which had a little of everything. chicken, ribs, and shrimp. He loved it but of course we brought a good bit home. Mom, Deborah, and Sybil met us there and they surprised Danny with a Cake. He was so worried to because he asked mom about it and she said that she forgot, when they brought it out he was thrilled.

I have to say Danny had an amazing day and so did the rest of us. Very tired though!

Today I am 30!

Well, I am officially 30 and well I feel like I did when I was 29. I am excited though. I cannot really explain it, but I truly feel like this will be an amazing time in my life. I have an amazing husband and two wonderful boys and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us. I received so many e-mails, texts, phone calls, FB posts, and in person happy birthdays today. Thank each one of you for the birthday wishes.

John Michael had practice today at 10. It was such a difference in temperature that it was wonderful. I was a Popsicle last night and even though there was some wind today in comparison to last night it was great. The boys all did very well. Poor John Michael's swollen lip and bruised cheek did produce a black eye this morning. He looks pitiful but acts like it does not bother him. I will say he has stayed away from the press boxes since Thursday night though.

Jacobs birthday party was today at Lightening Strikes. The boys were so excited, because they finally got to go bowling. They have been wanting to go and we just have not been able to. Now they cannot wait to go back. I actually am excited about taking them back. I used to bowl in a league and I really enjoyed it. It is a fun sport and I hope that we can make it work so that we all go more.

After Jacob's party it was time for Danny to go to practice. He also had a great practice. The boys all did very well and seemed to really be getting into it. I am so ready for game time for both boys, of course I am sure that the coaches are looking forward to a little more practice.

After the ballpark Brandon and the boys took me to dinner. It was so nice to have a nice dinner with the family. The best part was I did not have to cook it or clean up after it. We went to Outback and it was very good. I was so proud of how sweet the boys were, but I think a lot of it was simply because they were so tired.

Well, it is definitely after 9 and with the time change that is coming it is going to feel even later in the morning. Oh well, maybe with Spring Break and baseball I can get the boys and myself on a better schedule. I do think we are going to use our Sunday for a day of rest, we might venture up to the lake if the water is still rising just to check on things. We shall see.

As always before I head to bed I will be remembering all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Special prayers are still going up for all of those in Japan and across the world who are effected by the earthquakes and tsunamis that took place. I am also saying a special prayer that the boys sleep in a little tomorrow. We are planning on the later Mass so we can all rest and they really need it! Thank you all again for the many Birthday Wishes!
