Popcorn Sales

This morning started early.  We headed to Church so that the boys could sell popcorn after the 8:30 and the 11:00 Masses.  All of the Cub Scouts who wanted to participate were welcome to come.  We had a pretty good turnout of scouts and sold a good bit of popcorn.  We also got a good bit of donations.
The problem is that we barely made a dent in what we have to sell.  We were supposed to be able to set up at all of the weekend Masses for this month and now we only have this weekend.  We need some show and sell locations, so please help me if you can.
Also if you want popcorn here is what we have.  Some can be delivered now, some will be delivered in november.  If you do not like popcorn do not worry you can make a donation and send popcorn to our troops overseas.
Military Donations are available in $30 and $50 amounts.
Double Caramel Crunch Popcorn (with a hint of Chedder) $30
White Chocolatey Pretzels in a tin $25
Chocolatey Triple Delight $20
Caramel Corn with Almonds and Pecans $20
Butter ToffeeCaramel Corn $20
Chedder Cheese Corn $15

Kettle Corn $25
Unbelievable Butter $20
Butter Light $20
Cheese Lovers Collection $30
Sweet & Savory Collection $40

My boys want to be the top sellers this year and we need to get rid of some of our stock, so please help!

Stairs and Dunking Booths

So today was a day that started off with rain and completely changed my plans.  While it was nice to have a somewhat easy day it also means that everything has to be rescheduled, which is not as easy as it may seem.
We went to the new house and we have a framed in fireplace and stairs with temporary tread.  This sounds great and should mean a venture upstairs.  For everyone but me it did.  I made it about half way and froze and had to go back down.  I am not a huge fan of heights but when you add into it open spaces and drop offs I just could not do it.  The three boys had a blast though.  Maybe tomorrow.  We will see.

We headed to the Family Fun Day at St. Francis.  Our plan was to spend the whole afternoon but that was all bloched up.  It was just crazy, but all worked out for the best.  I was so glad to see Amy and the whole Hughes family.  I feel like I have not seen them in months, probably because I haven't.  It has seriously been so crazy, so I was just glad to get a few minutes to catch up in person!
Well, I am off to bed.  Tomorrow is going to be pretty much in fast forward!

February Begins

February started out running late. We are all so exhausted that it is becoming the norm for us to be late. This is not something that I like to be known for. I have always been the one who was early and I would like to go back to that.
When we got to school, just three minutes late, we signed in and the boys' headed to class. Today was Mass Day so I stuck around and read for a little while and then headed into Church. I love this day, through the rain and everything it was great to spend time with my boys' and with Jesus.
After Mass I headed to the church office to pick up something for my mom. To St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and to The Diocese of Birmingham, thank you for helping my mom in this time of need. It means so much to all of us.
I came home to work on laundry, registering the boys for school, still putting up Christmas, and just trying to accomplish anything. I was not very successful, but it wasn't because I wasn't trying. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I doubt it though, like today I have too much to do. I need a serious system, if anyone can help with this I would be so appreciative.
We had cub scouts today after school. I decided that we would take the time and start to work on the scout closet. The boys helped a lot and then played Chess and Checkers. It was a good meeting overall. They seemed to have fun, which is what matters most to me.
So the boys still will not clean their rooms. I am so over trying to get them too. I have so much to worry about right now and I just do not know what to do. It will get better. Of course is someone could send me $5000 that would be great. Of course who wouldn't like a good deposit or who doesn't need it. Maybe one day finances will be on the bottom of my worry list. That day is not today though.
Katie Fleming made dinner for my family and it meant so much and tasted great. Thank you so much Katie for everything. You are a great cousin, and even better than that you are a great friend. You amaze me with all that you are able to accomplish and just what a genuinely good person you are. I am so thankful that are children are growing up together. Anyway, thank you. It was delicious and again meant a lot to us all.
Well I am off to bed. I have a feeling that I am going to break and I do not like it at all. Hoping some sleep will do me some good. Good night.

Trunk or Treat

So today the boys' had to get their rooms cleaned. While this was not what they wanted to do it was what they had to do if they wanted to go to Trunk or Treat at the church tonight. The plan was to go there and go to Mass. We left there early though to run by the store before Mass. I had to get things to finish up goody bags for tomorrow's Halloween parties and we had some time to kill.
We also went to Northpark's Fall Festival. The boys wanted to get more candy and waiting till tomorrow was not what they wanted to hear. We did not stay long, but we did let them get a few pieces.
It was a nice family night with my 3 boys! I have to say I am so ready for tomorrow night though. Halloween is so much fun and so little stress, which makes it awesome! The boys seem really excited too.
I have the goody bags ready for Kindergarten, and candy to take to third grade to add to their goody bags. I am looking forward to spending the afternoon with the boys' in their classes. I have told Brandon to get to work early and get off early so we can start trick or treating early! Hopefully it will all work out!
Well, I am off to finish a few pictures and then to bed. Know that I am praying for you all!

VBS Day 5

Vacation Bible School was great today. The boys got to dress out of this world. Danny did not think any of his clothes would work so he just wore black and green. I am going to have to get some face paint just to have on hand at all times. John Michael however took sheer advantage of the circumstances and wore his Buzz Lightyear costume. That costume has gotten more wear than any other that has ever been used by one person. Heck even multiple people. They had a blast today and all week. Thanks to everyone at St. Francis who really did an amazing job! You guys really are out of this world! Thanks for all you do!

As we were leaving the bottom fell out! Seriously it was wild. When we finally left it had slacked off a little...and I say a little it was just a down pour at this time. Several parts of Irondale were flooded.

Then we ran errands as always, but with a little more rush since we had so much to do to get ready for the beach. I am so excited and so are the boys. In fact they asked me about 7 how they could get tomorrow here sooner, I told them to go to sleep. I was seriously kidding, but by 7:30 they were out.

Brandon and I finished packing and have everything ready to be loaded up tomorrow. We thought about doing it tonight, but there are a few things we cannot pack till tomorrow so this way it all goes in one time. And it will go in right. I cannot wait to put my feet in the sand!!!

Well, I am off to bed now. Time to pack up the computer! I will remember you all in my prayers tonight. Also, thanks for the prayers for B, she did great Thursday! Now praying for safe travels and some amazing weather!

Saints Work the Court Again

I have never been a huge follower of basketball, and I even played for a while. The thing is I never actually understood. This year watching Danny and his team I have learned so much and enjoyed every practice and every game. Today they played Holy Family at St. Patrick's Church in Adamsville. They won 22-2, I was so proud of them all.

We really had a lazy day at the house. It was so cold and so we literally sat around and watched movies all day. Not at all what I wanted to do this Saturday, but it was a nice break. I tried to bribe the boys to get their rooms cleaned, but no such luck. I will continue to try, or I will go in with the garbage bags! We shall see what happens first. There is too much going on this month not to get this house finished.

Tomorrow is the Scout Mass at St. Francis Xavier, the 11:00 AM Mass. Danny is doing the first reading. He is so excited and I am so proud of him. In fact all of the readings for Scout Sunday are being done by second graders. I cannot believe that they wanted to do it. We tried to get older boys and girls, but they were not having it. I know that they will do great though!

I have a lot to do for the month of February and every time I think I have some control on it another day gets by me. Seriously 2011, I am working on enjoying every minute, but if they would stop counting so fast that would be great!

Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the fifties, not ideal, but a vast improvement!

Well, again not before 9, but it is all good! It will happen, maybe?!?! I will be praying for all of my friends and family. I love you all. So many people are sick or have sick kiddos right now and I pray that everyone is 100% healthy soon!
