Congratulations are in Order

So today has been crazy busy and that is putting it mildly.
Brandon's Brother Brian got married today.  His wife Christen is a beautiful person inside and out and today she was truly radient.  The colors were so pretty.  Her dress was stunning.  Brian was handsome as ever.  Everyone looked great and the ceremony was truly beautiful.  They are an amazing couple and I cannot wait to see how amazing their life as husband and wife is.  It will be a great one.  We are very excited about Christen officially becomming a part of the family.  To you both we love you and are so happy for you.
Danny had a baseball game.  We are in the area tournament and we are playing in Corner.  Mom took the boys so that they did not have to miss the game and we could be at the wedding.  They played Hayden and they ended up losing.  Hopefully we will have it together tomorrow though and make it happen.  We have to come in 3rd to make it to State.  I know that we can we just have to play hard.  So tonight get some rest Cougars and be ready to work it tomorrow!  It is going to be hot....but guess what so is our team!

Baseball and Wedding Bells

Yep, this is a pretty awesome Saturday recipe.  At least in my opinion.  Two of my favorite things.  I do hate that I had to miss some of Danny's game, but he knows that I had to go to work and he was okay with it.
This morning started with  the tournamanet at Moody Ballpark.  We were playing Pell City and that one was a Win.  17-0.  The boys really had some momentum after that.  They played again but not for 2 hours, which was too much lag time I guess.  I  had to leave and did not get to see the whole game, but they had fun, even though they did not win.  I was super proud of them.  This Moody tournament was all about catching up with people that I have not seen in a while.  Candice, Derrick, and Leigh Anne it was great to see you all.
I had to get to a wedding this afternoon which is why I missed the game, but it was the perfect wedding.  I am so ready to blog about it.  The church was one of the prettiest I have ever seen and I think it was because of the storybook look that it had.  The bride was stunning!  It was a great day and to Brandon and Amanda congratulations!  You two are amazing and your story is one that everyone should hear.  I was blessed to be a part of your day, thank you!

Fireworks on the Lake

So I am behind....big surprise I know, but I am catching up. This would be for Sunday, July 3rd.

We had some friends to the lake today to swim, eat, and watch fireworks. Our neighbors up there put on a show like no other, at least in my opinion. It lasts longer than the big City ones and it is a little more enjoyable since you are with friends and family instead of friends, family, and 10,000 others. While I love people, a lot leaving the same place at one time tend to make me a little nervous. Especially now that I have kids.

We had a great time with everyone. Our kids all play so well together and with a lake to wear themselves out in it was great. They swam until the sun was starting its descend too!

Brandon grilled some very good hamburgers and hotdogs. I made the oreo/chocolate chip pie thing. And of course there was beer, wine, and best of all was Nick's margaritta's! Those are always the best! Thanks again for making them!

Well, it was a great fireworks show. The kids had a blast watching them, and playin with sparklers. Even our neighbor's kids came to play with the sparklers. I am all about the more the merrier so it was great. I was glad to meet the neighbors. They are really great. Hopefully we will see them up there more, as again Brandon and I are determined to get up there more this year and make the most out of every weekend. Of course it will be like 2 at least before we go again, but it is all for good reasons! Weddings and Football!!!

Before the night was over there was an incident. I will not go into details for the person's privacy, but I do ask that you all say a prayer for a dear friend of mine. She suffers from disautonomia (sp?) and just needs some prayers. Thanks guys, you are great!

Welcoming in May

So May is here, WOW! I know I said it yesterday about April being gone but I am saying it again about May being here. I can remember thinking how crazy adults were thinking that time flew by when it seemed to crawl, but now I am right there and I understand. I do not know if it is because of the right now lives that we all live or if it is just a part of growing up, but regardless I understand.

Today Brandon and the boys cut the front yard and got the riding lawn mower almost ready for the back yard, which will be nice as it is a lot taller than I like! I am looking forward to it being done, maybe tomorrow? We shall see, expect an update sooner than later!

I kicked off May with a wedding, with Terri Melvin. We had a great time and I think captured the day for the bride and groom. I hope that the day for them was everything that they had hoped and more. The wedding was at Aldridge Gardens in Hover. It was very pretty. I am including a picture of the grounds for my blog, but it is raw. Edited pictures will follow in my other blog. Sooner than later I hope. I have some product shots and prom pictures to get finished up! Needless to say I know what I will be doing this week!

Well, I am off to bed tonight. I am exhausted. I will remember you all in my thoughts and prayers! I hope that as time flies and things may seem dark that you are able to enjoy life and find the silver lining that I have been told is always there!
