Girl Baby and A Yard Again!!!

Today started off great. We went to Mass at 8:30 this morning, which is my favorite Mass. I am not sure why, but it always has been. I love starting Sundays off right! The boys' were excellent which is always nice!

We came home and I started to get everything ready for Amanda's Baby shower. We are finally getting a girl in the family, it has been a long time. Amanda is a pretty pregnant, and I know that she is ready, but she really does have that mommy glow. The shower was pink and lime green. I cannot wait to get to work on the pictures.

Of course there are a few session in front of hers, but I will get there. I plan to work my tail off to get caught back up! Of course I am very thankful to be so busy though, and I am hoping that it stays that way. I love what I do and I am loving every minute of working, which is a wonderful feeling.

Amanda got a lot of really nice things, all the pink was so great to see! Alexa is not going to want for anything that is a definite. I cannot wait to take some newborn pictures. My aunt made a cake and cupcakes, and while I could not eat the strawberry cake, the cupcakes were delicious. She also made the fondant and it was very good! Seriously like eating marshmallows, and that you cannot go wrong with.

I came home and Brandon had been working in the yard, in fact you could tell that we had a yard again. He has been able to cut it, but not weed eat so some areas were tough to handle. He did not cut today, but got all of the weed eating done and now he can cut when in the afternoons when he gets home. It looked great and I was super appreciative.

Well, I am off to bed. I finished editing one birthday party's photographs and started on the next today so hopefully I can wrap it up tomorrow night. Not holding my breath though, there is a lot to do to get ready for school, and tomorrow is doctor day for both boys and John Michael's meeting with the Kindergarten teachers. Hopefully it will be a no waiting kind of day though, that is the worst part about the doctor's office!

Know that you are all in my prayers tonight. I hope that there were many blessings for each of you this weekend. If you live close the rain tonight, was a definite needed blessing for us all!

Boy Baby...and Sleep

Well today was the first of two baby showers this weekend. I will detail more in my photography blog, but this one was for a friend of mine, Karen. She is expecting a boy in October. It was a great shower. Amy and I rode together, she was bringing the cake and I was bringing the camera. I was very glad that she was driving, I would have been a basket case with her cake in the van if I would have been driving. As always she made a beautiful cake, that she ended up cutting because nobody else wanted to.

The boys and Brandon seemed to have a good time while I was gone. The biggest thing was the boy were fighting ALL day! It was pretty nerve wrecking. In fact they pretty much were at odds till bed time. Which I did not think was every going to come. That is why tonight's picture are the two of them sleeping!

So I need a new computer, if anyone would care to donate to the fund that would be great. Just add it to everything else, and I am seriously stressed. One day I will not stress about money!

Well, I know that this is short, but I have so much to edit and get done around the house, that I have to get to bed. I am almost done with Danny's birthday, and then it will be Morgan's. Then maternity shots, a wedding, and 2 baby showers. I feel so blessed that business is picking up, remember if you or anyone you need could use a photographer call me. http://www.monicaannephotography.com/

Well, I am off to work and hopefully go to bed. You will all be in my prayers tonight. I am very glad to say that I am posting on shedule. Maybe I can keep it up for another day or so....the or so would be really awesome!!!

Weddings

So I am again writing a day behind. Sorry about that.

Danny had a blast with Chandler, and was not too happy that I had to pick him up but he and John Michael were headed to Nana's for the night. He thought it was awesome he would not be home for 2 nights in a row. I am just glad that he had a good time, that is what matters most to me. Thank you guys so much for making Danny feel at home, he had a blast!

Brandon and I spent most of the day charging batteries and getting ready for the wedding that we were working. I was obviously the photographer and Brandon the videographer. More details in the blog, but here are a few. It was at the Boutwell, and was gorgeous. I cannot wait to get to work on the pictures. I will get one up at least tonight, but still have 2 birthday parties to get edited.

Well, we were exhausted when we got home, and now I am getting off to enjoy Saturday! I hope that everyone had a great Friday.

Hot Dog Social

So today we started out early again, about 6:45 I woke the boys up and had them get going. I need them on a better routine and this seems to be working so we are going to stick to it!

I had to meet with Crystal from Crystal's Creations to pick up a wreath that she made for me for my cousin's baby shower. I also figure that it can be hung on the hospital door and on he wall close to the baby's crib. I hope that Amanda likes it as much as I do. If I had a girl, I would have a hard time giving this one away! I am definitely going to use her for a lot of things that I am working on, she is truly amazing! If you have not seen her work, please go check her out on FaceBook!

I also got the last few things that we needed for the shower. I love what I found too. I hope that Amanda does. It is lime green and hot pink and those are the colors she was aiming for! Girl, wait till Sunday, it is going to be great.

The hot dog social, which is sort of like the kick off to the school year was tonight. I cannot believe it, which seemed to be the consensus of everyone there. Seriously? School? Already? It was a lot of fun, the boosterthon DJ's were there and the boys, especially John Michael were having a ball. Danny is not much of a dancer, he got those shoes from Brandon but John Michael is like me, if there is music you dance! They also got to see their friends and teachers and other people from the school. It was really a lot of fun and it is something that I am glad the Home and School board does each year.

Danny went home with Chandler. This is his first spend the night away night and momma is a little nervous. I think he will do fine though. He is a good boy and was so excited. I am excited for him too. Chandler is his best friend and he has been wanting to spend the night for a while, so I am glad it all finally worked out. I promised him we would have Chandler over soon, but we have something every weekend this month! We will do it soon though, no doubt!

I also signed John Michael up for soccer. Danny wants to do fall ball, so needless to say we will be running all fall, but it is good and I am excited.

Brandon and I watched our wedding video tonight. It is the first time we have watched it in years. I laughed a lot, there were some funny things and to only be 10 years old it is dated, it is amazing how much has changed in 10 years. I also cried a lot because I got to see my daddy and hear his voice.

Well, I am off too bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long one, wedding tomorrow night, pray it all goes well! I am excited, but I always get a little nervous before weddings! You are all in my thoughts and prayers tonight as I go to bed!

One Week Only

I cannot believe that there is only one week until we will head off to school. I am pretty sad, which I know is crazy, but it is also a fact. I love summer and I love the extra time with the boys.

We started today off at about 6:45, not as early as we planned but Brandon and I both slept late. Of course John Michael had me up till 1:00 this morning and the I could not get my brain to turn off so it was after 3 before I finally fell asleep. Oh well, much is life as mommy! I love it though.

The dog was fed by 9:00 this morning, which is definitely better than it has been. It has been about 5:00 before Danny has done it for over a week now and we need him on a better schedule too.

Shark week is having an effect on the boys. They seem to be preying on one another. I have laughed though. They have a toy Hammer Head shark that came with a Christmas gift, I think John Michael's. Anyway, it is usually in the bathtub or outside, but today they decided to let him come in the living room and John Michael fed him marshmallows. He did not want him to eat any of us. Seriously! I needed a good laugh this morning though.

We had a short photo shoot with my cousin. She is expecting a baby girl in a few weeks and with her baby shower Sunday we needed some quick pictures. She looked beautiful. Watch my MonicaAnne Photography blog for more on that shoot. We might be doing another one next week so that the hubbie can be included. The boys had a blast at the park, well actually the old Middle School.

The boys and I headed over to Deborah's to swim with Kimy and Morgan. We had a great time. Usually I sit outside of the pool for a while before going in but it was just too dang hot. Thank you ladies for having us over! As always we had a great time. Love you guys! John Michael worked on swimming with no floaties again and is seriously getting good. I am super proud of him.

Well, I am actually finishing this Thursday morning, because I passed out with the boys last night. I will do better tonight. I had actually started this one, but stopped so I could lay down with them and get them to bed, well, that was that!

Water Guns

Today was a pretty laid back day. We did some work around the house, and I had to go to the Post Office, but other than that not much. I have not felt good and I needed a down day.

I am taking some meds and about to go to bed, now that the boys are finally asleep. Again, even later than last night. I do not know what to do. Still seeking advice so if you have some that would be awesome. We are planning on getting them up at 6 in the morning and one way or another I do not plan on letting them stop going.

I cooked dinner and had it ready when Brandon got home from work. Then he headed to the ballpark. He is going to video the football games for Clay Recreation Youth Football if there are enough orders. If so it would be a great blessing, if not it means that an even better blessing is waiting. I have faith that it will work out the way that it should. He bid a job for Clay Chalkville High School and it would have been amazing, but we have not heard so I am going to assume that they decided not to go the professional video route.

The boys played outside a good bit this afternoon. Water guns and bikes were the main features for today. We will see what tomorrow brings.

I am doing a quick maternity shoot in Trussville and I am very excited about that. My cousin Amanda is having a baby girl, and we are having her baby shower Sunday and for something I want to do for her I need a maternity picture. I hope that she is as excited as I am. Stay tuned for pictures and more details in the blog that features MonicaAnne Photography and all that I am doing.

Well, I am off to bed. Know that you are all in my prayers.

Do You Know What Time It Is?

So I am writing tonight for several reasons.

1. I am having the hardest time getting the boys in bed at a decent hour. We did great for a while, but we are so off and school starts next week. If you have some suggestions I am open to them. I am getting them up earlier each morning but it does not seem to matter. They do not nap so that is not it, and it does not matter what we do during the day. We can do nothing or we can swim all day and the end result is still the same. Again I need to be in bed earlier than this so I really need them in bed earlier.

2. I feel like time is seriously slipping away from me. Maybe I am walking down memory lane a lot or maybe it is just looking at my to do list that has me scared. I do not know what it is but I know that I feel like I am being left behind. My boys continue to grow each day. They teach me something new everyday too. I miss them laying in my arms on my chest and going to sleep. I miss them depending on me for everything. While I know that I must be doing something right because they are getting more and more independent, which is good, I still feel like time has just gone by too fast. The song Don't Blink means so much to me right now. I need to listen to it, and I will probably get a good cry out, which I could really use. Cry Therapy can be the best. I will save it for their first day of school though, when I know I will be a blubbering fool. Kindergarten and Third Grade are going to be here in a few days. I cannot believe it!

Well, I hope that you all have an amazing night tonight. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. It is time to look at the clock and take control of it. I am going to do better and be better!
