International Rosary

This was a great day and it is one of my favorite days of the school year.  Last year the students started to do an International Rosary.  It is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favote things taht they do as a school, if not my favorite thing.  Each class says the Hail Mary in a different language.  It is gorgeous.
John Michael's class along with second grade did the first decade of the Rosary and they did it in Spanish.  It was beautiful.  Danny's class along with the third grade said the second decade of the Rosart and they did it in Gernam, which is so pretty.  Everytime Danny says the Hail Mary in Germany i get the chills, i love it.  i am so proud of my boys and how much they have grown in their faith.  They are strong in Faith.
This Rosary is yet another reminder of why we chose St. Francis.  My children having a strong base education as well as a strong faith base to their foundation is so important to me.  I love that they are able to get this at St. Francis.

It was also Spirit Day which meant they got to wear their Spirit shirts and their blue jeans, which is always a nice treat  for the boys, and for momma!  Washing those uniforms gets old quick!

International Rosary

Today the boys were excited because they got to wear their spirit shirts to school instead of their uniforms. Danny's is orange and John Michael's is blue. They looked super handsome. Danny wore khakis and John Michael jeans. I have to go get Danny some jeans sooner than later. He also wants some comfy pants, which means athletic pants. I will have to see what I can do there to.

Brandon did not have to be at work until 8 so he took the boys to school. It was a nice surprise as I was able to do some yoga, drink a pot of coffee, and work in the house. With John Michael's surgery tomorrow I wanted the majority of the house clean so we could relax this weekend.

I went to the school to go to the International Rosary at 2:00. It was such a moving Rosary. With each grade in their spirit shirts, and saying the Rosary in a different language. This is something that I hope they do every year. It was a gorgeous moment and I am thankful I was there to share it with my boys. John Michael said it in English, and Danny in German. I was definitely one proud momma and I think that all of the other parent's who were blessed enough to be there were also very proud.

John Michael is starting to get a little nervous about his surgery. He told his teacher today that he was scared. He asked me if he could sleep in our bed tonight, of course I was not going to tell him no. I know that he will be okay but I am worried. Motherhood the greatest gift ever and is also the hardest thing. My heart breaks when I cannot help my boys. This is one of those times that my heart is breaking.

Well, I am off to edit a little and then try to get some sleep. I probably should have broken out the wine bottle...at least for one glass. Know that you are all in my prayers and please say a prayer for John Michael and his surgery tomorrow. We have to be at Children's at 7:15.

I HATE BUGS

So this morning started off great. We were up on time, I did a little yoga, drank a little coffee, got a shower, got ready, and got the boys ready and to school. Yes, it was a great morning. I even started dinner, and laundry before we headed out!
I went to the store to get the things that Danny needed to make the snack that he wanted to make for the pack meeting tomorrow night. While I was getting the groceries out of the van I heard something. I looked up and there was a locust in the garage. So anyone who knows anything about me knows that I am terrified of all bugs and those nasty creatures. So I ran inside shaking. I finally made it back in the garage, got the van windows up and outside just in case he was in there and left the garage doors open the rest of the morning. I never saw him again, hopefully he left and will never come back. I am seriously terrified when it comes to bugs. Needless to say even though I parked in the garage tonight, my windows are up. Still feeling a little shaky, the thought of that thing being in the garage seriously petrifies me.
The boys had great days at school. Danny has learned to say a decade of the Rosary in German for the International Rosary on Thursday. It is gorgeous listening to him. I cannot wait to listen to the whole school when they do the Rosary in multiple languages.
John Michael got a green face which meant he was out of trouble. I know that he can do it, and am so proud of him when he does I just wish he would start doing it every day.
We had soccer practice today but we also had soccer pictures. His coach is also a photographer, she owns Future Memories and does great work. John Michael actually looked at the camera and at her so I was super happy as he is not the easiest to photograph. Soccer practice was great, they even got to scrimmage a little with the other under 6 team.
We came home and had dinner and then it was time for John Michael to get his hair trimmed....well, that is what it was supposed to be, he ended up with a hair cut. I was not too happy, but I keep telling myself it will grow back. Brandon keeps telling me that too.
Well, I am hoping to get a little work done and then head to bed. Hoping that tomorrow starts out like today and just gets better and is not interrupted by a killer locust.
