Goodbye Second Grade

Well, Danny is officially a third grader. We finished out our second grade year with straight A's. Now for anyone in pubic school you should know that this is harder to achieve in private school. I am so proud of Danny, and I know that he is proud of himself.

We treated him to Chinese for lunch and then to Yogurt Mountain. I have to say I wish that I had never tried Yogurt Mountain. It is too good. John Michael seemed to like it more than Danny though. I think he was thinking more ice cream. It was seriously delicious.

We also went to the lake just to get things ready for this weekend. When we got there we went to turn on the water and there was none. Brandon went to the main shut off and found it locked. We high tailed it to the Water Company which is pretty small ad very close there. The lady told me that it was not locked. I assured her that it was. Anyway, the guy came and removed the lock. He continued to apologize. I was just glad that we found it today, since they will be closed until Tuesday and we are not planning on going until Sunday after Mass.

Mrs. Hayes gave Danny a few sweet mementos from the year that he opened when we got home tonight. He was so surprised and loved them all. He has second grade memorabilia all over his room. What a little guy. He even did a little Math this afternoon. He wants the overall school award next year so he plans to work at it all summer. I could not be prouder. He is a smart little guy.

John Michael is super excited about starting Kindergarten at St. Francis next year. It will be an amazing year, but for now I am looking forward to summer. I am ready to have some quality time with my boys and make some great memories! I am hoping that we have a wonderful summer. I am staying positive that we will. We are starting it off right, together, and that is what counts.

Well, I am off to bed. I will remember you all in my prayers. I hope that you all have a great summer. While it is not always easy to be home for the summer it is a blessing. The small things matter the most when you are young. With or without big vacations summer can be amazing!

Progress Reports and Baseball

House Work Progress Report...Laundry is caught up. Of course I now have everything from today and since there was baseball to be played I feel like I am right back where I was. Started on Danny's room.

Photography Progress Report...Still working on Q and U wedding. I will get them all done sooner than later I hope. Keep an eye out they are so cute! Nothing like a wedding done with all 4K students!

So Danny also came home with his progress report, which means we are halfway through with the 4th quarter of school. Seriously I cannot believe it. He has all A's! Hopefully it will stay that way. He works hard and is really learning a lot. Holding on for the last few weeks of him being a second grader.

John Michael was so excited because 3 of their chicks at school hatched! Now to get ready for all of the Easter celebrations next week. Craft day and party day! Fun stuff and definitely good times!

Tonight we had a baseball game. John Michael played, we played at home against Pinson. I have to stay on the side of the dugout to help the dugout coach, and so that I can keep the book and take pictures. The most important thing is it keeps me away from one of the mom's who seriously has crawled my last nerve. As an adult I typically let things roll off my back, but she talks bad about my child, and that is a game I will not play! She does not even know my child! I am much better off being away from her! It was a great game. We ended up losing 5-4, but it was still a lot of fun. John Michael was so upset that he did not get to bat one last time that we ended up at the batting cages for a little bit.

Needless to say it has been a fun day and night and now I am READY for bed. I hope that everyone has sweet dreams! Before I go to bed I will say a prayer for everyone as always. I hope that the storms tomorrow hold off until everyone is home and safe!
