Car Wash

Brandon was able to go into work a little later this morning mainly because he has to work late and OT is frowned upon.  Yet another reason I am looking for a job.  So if anyone knows of anything let me know.  It was nice we all had breakfast, he fried eggs and made toast.  Breakfast is his speciality!  I cleaned though.  Then he took the boys to Vacation Bible School on his way to work and I started to bust my rear end around the house.
All of the stuff I had piled up on the couch for eBay I got pictures of which means they are one step closer to eBay.  The box of books I had I got posted on eBay.  There are a lot more but one thing at a time.  I also got another box ready to come upstairs that has had pictures taken and I have a lot that needs pictures, but needless to say eBay and I are definitely working together right now.
I cleaned the den.  I did not worry about packing just about getting the stuff that I could donate bagged up before John Michael saw it all again.  I love my baby and I know that he loves his toys but we have so much and there is NO way that it can all come to the new house.  The funny thing is when they came home they did not even realize it so I think maybe I am in the clear.  I hope so anyway.  I know that I will find more, but this was definitely a start in the right direction.
After Vacation Bible School the boys helped me clean out the van.  I promised them that they could wash it by themselves if they helped me get everything out of it.  Considering most of the stuff was theirs I felt like I was being more than fair.  We have already packed most of the car washing stuff, but a water hose and a little Dawn go a LONG way with two boys!  They did a great job too and had so much fun.  I know I used to love washing the cars for my mom and dad so I thought that they would and they are getting older.  It was cute.

W came in and rested and then headed to baseball practice.
We went by the new house on the way to practice.  They were working and it was on the floors.  We had linoleum (sp?) in the laundry room and the tile in the bathrooms and kitchen.  They were still working on the grout upstairs, but it was happening.  I cannot tell you guys how much I love seeing progress.
It wa cut short because of the lightening but the rain seemed to stay away.  At least from the house, I am not sure if it ever rained at the park or not.  Our tournament starts this weekend and hopefully we will continue on after this.  I would love to see the boys go to state, it would be really awesom t go further, but state would be amazing!  By the way if you want to come out and cheer on the 8 year old Clay Cougars come to Huffman ballpark at 7:30 tomorrow night!

SOLD!!!

So today I started the process of going through everything. I figure if I make one pass now then when we go to packing it will be that much easier. Plus I think I will feel that much better about it. While the boys were at school I completely tackled the living room. Every shelf, drawer, etc has been gone through. A few things for donations and few things for eBay and then everything else just cleaned.

After school John Michael had two gifts to open. He was so excited. He loved them both too. Now if we can get thank you cards out this week that would be great, we shall see it is a goal of mine.

When Brandon got off we headed to Springville. I was so excited there was a SOLD sign in front of our lot. YAY! It just sort of made me feel good to see it. I was so happy, and to see the boys so thrilled it just made my day! They cannot wait to start seeing the house go up. A few weeks and we should start to see something! Brandon's mom and Aunt Paula met us up there to see the lot and to walk through the house that is like the one we are building. They seemed to love it. When we went from our lot to the house the boys asked to walk! Without hesitation we let them. There is something awesome about watching the boys run down the street and knowing that they are safe and just spreading their wings some, which children have to be able to do and now finally my boys will be able to.

We headed from the new neighborhood to the ballpark. Both boys had practice. They did very well, and had a blast which I love. Danny is doing really well and he is so glad that baseball season is finally here.

Now we are home and headed to sleep, soon, I hope! Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers! Good night!

Sunday Sanity

Again Sunday is no day of rest for us, but it is a good day for us.
I was able to get all of the laundry caught up, which makes me happy. Now if I can keep it that way throughout this week.
I also cleaned out one of the hall closets. The linen closet to be exact. I ended up with one bag for donations. I am always glad to get rid of things. Now if Brandon will clean out the bottom of the closet all will be well. I would have done it, but the 5 gallon paint buckets are out of my realm of where to put them knowledge.
Brandon started working on the process of getting the television moved to the far end of the living room. The old TV is in the den and the one that was in the den was donated. The old armiour was donated also. It was great to get some things cleaned out and starting to have some definite progress on the house, which is something that I need for my sanity.
The boys played baseball outside. They love sports and being outside. I have to admit I do to and I am going to start getting out there with them more. Again, something that I need to save my sanity.
Brandon grilled steak for dinner. They were super good. We also had salad, mushrooms, and baked potatoes. It was definitely a good dinner.
Well, as my sanity has been tested, I am taking control of the things that I can. I am ready and willing and it is just not an option anymore.

A Storm to Bid You Good Night

So I was sitting down last night to do my blog and a storm came up and the lightening and the thunder were intense. Needless to say the computer was unplugged and turned off so I am catching up tonight. Maybe one day I will get to a point that I am not playing catch up. Until then, I will enjoy life.

All I could think when the storm rolled up was why is Danny now asleep. I could have gotten some amazing sleep during this time. I love stormy sleep. It is most definitely the best that there is. Oh well, he finally fell asleep and when I headed to bed and got the candles all burned out the storm was pretty much passed us. Maybe next time.

Today was a very productive day for me. I was able to get all of the bedrooms cleaned, including dusting and changing the sheets. This might seem like a simple task but it was not. Two bags of garbage, two bags for donations, and a serious sense of accomplishment.

I was also able to get all of the clothes washed. Laundry is never fun, mainly because it is so constant, but getting it caught up for at least one day was super exciting.

The picture that I am using is from the storm. It is through the window so not the best.

Well, I am off so I can do tonight's blog! I will do better, I will do better, I will do better! Now that is covered!
