Bed Time....WHAT?!?!

So tonight has been wild, let me rephrase the boys have been wild all day and it has continued on into tonight. I am trying to get a lot done. School is happening, I have pictures to edit, a house to clean, getting ready to go to the lake, working out some things on personal and professional levels. All of these things become harder when the boys want to hinder instead of help. Tomorrow they are getting up and going outside until the sun goes down. Then maybe they will be in bed at a decent hour. Sorry to use my blog to vent, but I needed to do so for a few minutes.

I love my boys and would never trade them or change anything about them. Some days though I have to pray for patience and today is one of those days. Especially since John Michael is still awake and seriously standing on his head on the couch. To show that this is fact that is the picture that I chose for today.

I am seriously thinking that sticking him in our bed is the only way that any of us will get any sleep. Prayers for you all tonight!

So I wrote this last night and blogger acted crazy and I could not post! Hopefully tonight it will behave!

Out of Uniform!!!

It is always an exciting day when the uniform is traded in for jeans and today was no exception. Danny was so excited when he remembered that he could wear whatever he wanted today. He chose to sport the 2010 National Championship shirt and jeans. He looked so cute! Of course he has worn it all before but not to school! So he was excited to say War Eagle in Orange and Blue! He said he had a great day and that is what is most important to me.

We picked up John Michael from Nana's and he of course had a great time too.

The boys were exhausted and it was no better for mom and dad. We accomplished the dining room and the living room so that is done. Monica vs. the House and right now Monica (and family) are kicking the booty! Next week will be the bedrooms, den and office! I might have to hit the office first since I need to get everything ready for taxes! We shall see how it all works out, especially considering that next week will be hectic as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week.

We were able to get outside for a while after homework was done and that was nice. I am so excited about this weekend. The temps are supposed to be in the upper 60's. Now next week is not looking so nice, but one day at a time! We plan to enjoy the weekend and all of the things that we have to do and want to do. It will be busy, but fun and best of all a lot of it will be outside, thanks to the great weather!

Well, still not in bed by 9, but one day it will happen and it will probably be the title for the day's blog!

I will be remembering you all in my thoughts and my prayers! You know it is amazing how some people do not believe that Catholics are Christians or that we do not pray, or that we do not pray right, but being Catholic means being a Christian and as I am watching my children grow in their faith I know that it true. It is a blessing to be as close to God as we are, and I am thankful that my parents (even though my dad was not Catholic) ensured that the basis of my beliefs were Catholic, pro-life, and blessed!

Twas the Last Day of Christmas Vacation

January 3, 2011.

Twas the last day of Christmas vacation and we were determined to make it special. All through the house little projects were happening. The school bags were ready and sitting by the door in the hopes that the alarm clocks would be heard in the morning. The children are restless refusing to go to bed not understanding that the mornings are not something I want to dread. While Brandon and I are ready to sleep but not yet because of the pitter patter of all the little feet.

In all seriousness today was a lot of fun. Brandon and the boys put together John Michael's soccer/hockey goal that he got from Meme, Pop, and Aunt B. The boys had a blast playing outside, well we all did, but I have to admit I enjoyed taking pictures more than anything.

We had a few errands to run, which is just normal. I did find some great buys on a few more gifts for Christmas. I am determined to be ready for December! Yes, I know it is 11 months away, but I also know how quickly it will get here! This makes it so I am not ready for shock and awe when it does. Brandon also got us a new shower curtain rod, which is sort of exciting! Gift cards and sales make shopping a lot of fun! I also got a new calendar just for the business and for that I am super excited and thankful. I love using my iPhone, but I also like to have it written down too! Now to fill it up with photoshoots and just fun!

I loved spending these last 2 weeks with my boys. We enjoyed each other every day and did not take the time for granted. We played, we went to Auburn, we just had a good time. Tomorrow it is back to the everyday schedule, of work and school, but we will enjoy it. We will make time for each other no matter what the situation. There are 24 hours in every day and I play to make sure that they are all used to the fullest.

As I say good night and get ready to tuck in the boys (I hope). I say a special prayer for my dear friend whose husband she said goodbye to today as he gets ready to leave for Afganistan. Her husband, herself, and their son are three of the true American Heros.
