And then there were Lights

So let me start by saying there will be venting involved in this so know that you have been warned.
Today started off great.  My stiff on eBay is selling and I was able to get more things listed and pictures of even more.  I am on a roll and I am determined to keep it up.  The money will be a HUGE help, I just hope that the bids continue to rise and that I can continue to list things that people are interested in.
I was able to finish up the bookshelf in the den, and now if I can get the boxes I need up here and the others stacked better so I can do some rearranging that would be awesome.  and then I will be able to be 100% done.  I am hopine that we will be able to make some time to get it done next week.
Tonight was Brian and Christen's rehearsal and dinner.   We did not go because Brandon had to work.  Danny also had baseball practice.  It is all good though, we will see them tomorrow night.  Congratulations to you both and Happy Wedding Eve.  Christen we cannot wait to have you officially in the family, we have already considered you a part of it.  So happy for you both and love you both very much!
We headed to the new house and you got it....Lights were going up and electricity was being hooked up and the HVAC unit was going in.  Lots of things happening which seriously make me VERY happy!  I love seeing progress.
After the house the boys and I headed to baseball practice.  I love being at the ballpark and watching the boys grow.  They are all doing so well and I hope that they continue to improve and succeed this weekend as we head into the area tournaments.  If anyone finds themself in Corner and wants to come cheer on the 8 year Old Clay Cougars we would love the support.
So now for the venting.  It seems that on more than one occassion in every day I am forced to face someone that thinks that they are owed something.  Or people who think that they deserve everything for nothing at all.  People who are deternined to do and say things to get their way no matter who they hurt or how manipulative they have become.  I do not owe anyone anything and I do not think that others owe me.  I am seriously over it.  Get a life and stay the heck out of mine.  Serioulsly you have no idea how over it I am.  I hope that you never are put through anything like what I am dealing with, but then again if you are maybe you will understand.

Sorry I am over it now, just needed to get it out.  Well, I am off to bed, I am exhausted.  I was hoping to get some work done tonight, but it is not likely.  Brandon has not been home long and it has just been a seriously long day.  Hoping tomorrow will be full of progress too!

Third Place! Go Cougars!!!

So today is always a bittersweet day.  It is Father's Day.  Father's Day is always special because Brandon is an amazing dad.  It is a day that makes me miss my daddy so much.  He was amazing and truly my hero.  I know that he would be so proud of these boys and that he would love nothing more than spending his day with all of us, especially at the ballpark.  My dad was a huge part of me and I miss him so much.  There is a hole in my heart that was left when he left for Heaven, and while I know that he is happy and healthy there is still a very selfish part of me that wishes he was here.  A little chat and a hug would be amazing.  To my daddy and to my amazing husband Happy Father's Day!
We spent our Father's Day at Huffman ballpark.  It was great. Our frst game was against CenterPoint.  We won 17-12. I  was so proud of the boys.  They played great and they are now 3rd.  Immediatly after game 1 we played Pinson again.  This is the same Pinson team we played Thursday night.  They won 20-12.  So we finished this tournament in 3rd, which is awesome.  I am so proud of all of these boys.  They played hard.  We do have one coach who seems to want Danny to hold the ball.  I understand he has not played with Danny before, but defensively Danny can make the plays.  Many catchers cannot and if he is paired with the right infield.  Sorry, I needed to vent.  I am over it sort of, my baby loves baseball and he truly believes that one of his coaches hates him and that is not the case.  Anyway.  I think overall our coaches are amazing.  When you see teams like the Pinson team, whose coach yells and cusses and argues with everything I again am so thankful that we are at Clay where overall the coaches want the boys to do well, but more than that they excel.
We headed home and I have edited a little more and am about to head to bed.  I am exhausted, and I need to rest as this week is going to be non stop!  I am so ready though.  Regionals here we come!

Bed Time....WHAT?!?!

So tonight has been wild, let me rephrase the boys have been wild all day and it has continued on into tonight. I am trying to get a lot done. School is happening, I have pictures to edit, a house to clean, getting ready to go to the lake, working out some things on personal and professional levels. All of these things become harder when the boys want to hinder instead of help. Tomorrow they are getting up and going outside until the sun goes down. Then maybe they will be in bed at a decent hour. Sorry to use my blog to vent, but I needed to do so for a few minutes.

I love my boys and would never trade them or change anything about them. Some days though I have to pray for patience and today is one of those days. Especially since John Michael is still awake and seriously standing on his head on the couch. To show that this is fact that is the picture that I chose for today.

I am seriously thinking that sticking him in our bed is the only way that any of us will get any sleep. Prayers for you all tonight!

So I wrote this last night and blogger acted crazy and I could not post! Hopefully tonight it will behave!

On A Roll

So this morning I started to feel a little more like myself. I woke up with energy and did not drag for half of the day. In fact before 6:30 I had gotten in a small workout, done a load of laundry, unloaded and reloaded and started the dishwasher, and hand washed the dishes that needed that extra care. I was actually feeling pretty good all day.

Thank you so much for hearing and answering my prayers. That is about all I can say. I have needed a turn around and I am hoping that this is it.

Baseball games were back on the calendar tonight and looks like they will be every night for the next few. Lots of laundry is what that means for momma. John Michael's team lost, but these boys get better every game. They are the youngest team in the league and they are truly doing their best. I am proud of them! I have been on teams that won them all, lost them all, and fell in the middle. I do not think that any one was more enjoyable than the others. SERIOUSLY!

I do have a few things to vent about so parents listen up! I am talking to you! There are several parents complaining about the lack of practice. There are several reasons that we have not practiced. 1. We have other responsibilities and are not paid to coach. 2. When we have held practices 4-6 kids of 12 show up. 3. The weather has not been the best and has yielded several possible practices. Now, if you think you can do better, please sign up and do so next year. Know that we have only a few boys who have ever played, of those half have only played rag ball, which if you did not know is not even a preparation for baseball. We also have 4, 4 year olds. We only have 3, 6 year olds. Here is the thing. You take an average 6 year old and put them against even the best 4 year old they will be outplayed.

Now I am done with that vent. Again, sorry, but I needed to get it out! If you would like to discuss this with me please do so...not on the bleachers. Get real and grow up, PLEASE!

Danny's team played amazing and they won. It was close for a while, too close for a while, but in the end they won! They all did really well. Congrats to all of the Yankees!

Well, I am exhausted. The boys have had their showers and baths, and are asleep. I am about to head that way myself. I will remember you all in my thoughts and prayers. Please remember Danny's class as they continue getting ready for their First Communion this coming Saturday! I cannot believe he is so big. Tomorrow he has Mass at school and it is the last Mass that he will ever attend without receiving Communion. WOW! That about sums up my emotions.
