4th Grade

So this morning I took the last picture of Danny as a third grader at home.  He was not thrilled about having his picture taken but he also knows that his momma is very sentimental, and she loves to have her pictures!
We went to the last school mass of the year.  It was great as always, but I cannot believe that school is over.  I was pretty teary especially thinking about so much that is going on right now.  I spent a lot of time Thanking God for all of the blessings that He has given me, and also asking for some guidance.
The rising of the grades was after Mass and Danny officially became a 4th grader.  All I can say is WOW!
He got his report card and ISB test reults.  I am proud to say that we finished with all A's and B's, and that he scored above average in almost every category.  I am so so proud of my little man.  I just cannot believe that he is growing up so fast.
So summer has started!  I am so excited.  We are going to be super busy, but it is going to be great!
We had our first All Star game tonight, which was exciting.  It was in Morris which is seriously out there, but it is fine with me, I am just glad that he is playing and that he is having a good time.  They did not win, but it was one bad inning that cost it for them, they played great.  Mom came with me which was fun.   She worries so much about everything that all I could do was laugh.

Brandon went by the house and they have started to hang the sheetrock, in fact they were not too far from done!  YAY!!  The picture is from our bedroom.  They also worked on the brick but they finished off the corners in the back for siding and we are supposed to have four sides brick not three.

Meet the Teacher

Well today we got to take the boys' school supplies to their classrooms. They were able to meet their teachers and see their desks, and all that fun stuff.

I have to admit I am a little sad tonight. One, I cannot believe that summer is over. I love summertime, and the fact that it has come to a close makes me a sad momma. I will miss the days with the boys. I am looking forward to getting everyone, including me on a schedule and the house in order. The other reason I am a little sad is that the boys are growing up. John Michael is headed into Kindergarten and Danny into third grade. WOW! Where the heck did the time go? Seems like they should still be babies.

I am so glad that they are excited. It makes me feel like I have done an okay job given the fact that they are happy and independent.

We also got school shoes today. Yes, the last minute is what works for me. What works for you? I really did not mean to wait quite this long, but there was the issue of money more than anything. Not that the issue is still not there, but time was out so now I am just praying! Deposit before clearing! ;)

Brandon has had a great offer for a job this weekend. We might end up in Mobile instead of at the lake. Either one will make me happy. However it is supposed to work out is how it will.

Well, I am off to bed. I am going to get their uniforms out and ready and get in bed at a decent hour. I do not want to start off the school year running behind! I will be in need of support tomorrow, so if you think you see me, check my face for the marks of tears! I am going to do my best to keep it in check until they are in the school. It bothers Danny when momma gets sad. They both were told that First Day of School pictures start in the morning and to be ready! Prayers going out to all of you tonight!

Remember When...

So today has been interesting. My nose still hurts and has started to itch like mad. Hopefully tomorrow it will even be better. I did at least feel human today and managed to make some progress in our office. John Michael seems to feel a little bit better, still not 100% but hopefully a good nights sleep will make all the difference.

So did you have those little colored pegs that you put on the plastic sleeve and then ironed to make shapes and what not. Well, the boys found one it is Spongebob and they decided to get it out today. It was so funny to watch them make a crabby patty with these colored pegs and then I ironed it for them. They were excited when it was done and could not believe it. It brought back a lot of fun memories for me too.

Danny came home from school, his last Wednesday by the way, and did his homework. No fighting, no arguing just did it and was done by 4. It was great, he even said so. Why did it take him to the last day to get it figured out? Hopefully he will remember it for 3rd grade. Heck hopefully he will remember it tomorrow.

I have worked on pictures on and off all day and still have a ton to do but I am getting there! Hopefully soon I will have even more done. We shall see.

Well, I am off to bed, I hope that you all have sweet dreams. I will say a prayer for each of you. Remembering back when things were simple seems so hard to do but then a silly activity can bring it all back. Memories are great and should be cherished, they are even better when you combine a good memorywith the present to make more!
