Dromaeosaurus

Danny's dinosaur project was due today, and he chose the dromaeosaurus for his dinosaur. The thing about this guy is they are still learning about him and so resources were very limited. It is all good though, he had a blast doing it. And before anyone can ask I am not one of those mom's who does his projects for him so that they are amazing. I ask him to do his best and in my opinion they are always amazing. We used one of the three way boards and he printed a few pictures and then wrote several facts about this guy. For instance he was about 2 feet tall to his hips, 6 feet long from his head to the end of his tail, and only weighed about 30 pounds. The fossils that have been found have been found in Canada and Montana, USA. Then he made a dinosaur track cookies, using what he guessed the footprint would have looked like. He made a giant chocolate chip cookie for the ground and then chocolate sugar cookies for the prints. He did great and I was so proud of him.

John Michael stayed home today. He was so tired and ill, and I was determined he was going. Then he started in on his tummy hurting. I know he was full of it, but told him if he stayed home it meant doing NOTHING today. He was not happy that I seriously meant no Wii, but he survived and is excited about going to school tomorrow, especially since his Nana is picking him up.

Today is Brandon's last day in his 20's. He is not exactly thrilled about turning 30, but knows there is nothing he can do. He cracks me up. I love him more and more everyday and I am not thinking a number will mean anything more than more love! I have cherished our 20's since we spent them together and I cannot wait to spend our 30's together. Well, more on that tomorrow!

Well, it is after 10 and the boys are finally asleep so I am about to follow behind. I am exhausted! Before I go to bed I will say a prayer for all of my family and friends. Please say a special prayer for my amazing man who might need an extra pat on the back tomorrow.

TOO COLD....

Well I have to start off by saying that I hope our spring like weather comes back soon. This wintry feeling was not very comfortable. I had to turn the heater back on and I miss my sunshine! I am hoping for a quick turn around!

This morning started off by being there while Morgan Makenzie was baptised at ClearBranch. It was such a sweet moment and one that I was glad to be there and to capture some photographs of for Kimy and Steven. We then went to get their house ready for a lunch and enjoy a few minutes with some great friends and family before returning home so that I could start on laundry and Brandon could go pick his baseball team.

So with the water heater mess I am so behind on laundry. If anyone cares what I am doing this week...LAUNDRY! I am hoping to get caught up tomorrow but only time will tell.

Brandon had the 5-6 year old draft which seems so funny, but I am glad to know that the ballpark is working on becoming the old Clay, that I was raised at and loved so much. He has his team, now just waiting on numbers and such so he can give them a call. It should be a great year.

Danny starts practicing on Tuesday and has a tournament this weekend. We also have a birthday party so hopefully they will not be at the same time. I will know more Tuesday.

So it is again after 10, but I am getting off of here to go to bed. Before I do I will say a special prayer for all of my friends and family. I also am asking for a special prayer for a friend...her brother's Sunday school class friend is an 11 year old girl battling cancer and is in need of some prayers. Thank you all.

The Mother of all Water Heaters

The Mother of all Water Heaters has been installed thanks to my amazing husband Brandon and help from an old friend Adam Abts. First, I cannot thank Adam enough for coming over and lending a hand. It meant a lot. Thank you too his wife too for letting him come over. This water heater is really cool, it is a Hybrid from GE. I am super excited, and will be even more excited if it truly cuts my electric bill some! I will let you all know the outcome for that.

This morning was baseball tryouts. I did not take my camera because of the rain, but it was a lot of fun. Brandon is coaching John Michael's team, and they will meet tomorrow to chose teams. I am excited to watch my little man grow. Danny's team was picked today, and he is on Cale Webb's team. It should be a lot of fun. Danny loves baseball and I know that he will grow so much this year. I am looking forward to watching all of his games too, hopefully they will not have games at the same time. Missing one or the other is not something that I want to ever have to do. They start practice this week so expect a lot of baseball pictures in the upcoming blogs, especially once games begin. But I do think that this is where we temporarily change our address to the ballpark. Great memories coming.

I had a photo session today for a first birthday and it was a lot of fun. It was an old friends little girl, Ashlyn, and she is a doll. Tomorrow a baptism. I am looking forward to working on all of these pictures. I love photography and when I am able to capture memories for others that I know will last a lifetime and more for them means everything to me. Watch the other blog for more on each of these amazing sessions.

Well it is after 10, but I am off to bed. I am worn out. Rainy days are the best for a nap, but that was not in the cards. It is all good though. Before I go to bed as always I will be remembering all of you in my prayers. I hope that this Saturday was full of fun, laughter and love for you all. I was very blessed to see two friends that I have not seen in years.

Early Birthday Gifts

Who doesn't like a surprises every now and then? Brandon and I gave each other things for our business for our birthday. Of course that means that the tax refund is gone, but if we can start making some extra money it will all be worth it.

Brandon's video camera, and all his necessary gadgets came in yesterday. He charged the batteries and all that jazz today.

Well he surprised me with a HUGE box and inside was 2 complete light kits! I am super pumped. Learning more about lighting is something I have been wanting to do and now I can. I cannot wait to play with it all. I would have today but today was about house obstacles.

On our way to school this morning Danny had an asthma attack. Usually they are not too bad, and he can still go to school, but this one was rough so we came on home and he laid around all morning. I talked to his doctor and hopefully he is going to be okay. This is going to be a rough season I think. Praying that my boy gets some relief soon!

Well, we had a plumber out today. He had to replace the regulator valve, but the water heater just seemed to be too much for him. Well, he did not have what we wanted and what he had...which was lower grade than what we wanted was going to cost WAY too much, so we went on a water heater hunt. The goal was to go tankless, but the fact that we are electric and do not even have as running to the house seems to be a very unusual thing. Since nobody had them in stock or even knew much about them we decided to stick with a tank instead of being the test dummies for electric tankless water heaters. We did upgrade though to a Hybrid version and I am excited. Tax write off for 2011 and it should save us some on our bill, which is always nice. Now to install it tomorrow. While I am off doing photos at a first birthday party Brandon will work on it. Hopefully I come home to hot water! Update will come tomorrow! Stay tuned for more.

We have baseball tryouts in the morning, so we are headed to bed. I just wish it was earlier. I am pooped! Before I go to bed I will remember all of my friends and family in my prayers. I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend.

Ultimate Clash Night

Tonight we started getting John Michael's gifts out of the van. It has been nice not having to deal with the clutter of more, but I know that he has been ready to get them out. Tonight we got out Ultimate Clash, the boxing game. Danny, John Michael and myself all had a good time playing each other. I am pretty sure John Michael ended up the champion tonight. I am sure there will be a rematch at some point in the near future.

Brandon's camera finally came in, I know that he is excited. I was glad when UPS rang the doorbell. I have been stalking the front door waiting on them. We even had his Aunt Paula come and stalk the door for us while I went to get the boys from their various schools. Now to get us both some jobs lined up.

The boys were in bed before 9 but it is Brandon's night to work late. Needless to say I am not in bed yet, but I am headed there shortly. Before I go to bed I will as always say a special prayer for all of my friends and family. I hope that you all have the joy of Ultimate Clash with your little ones. Even if the game is different the experience is a great one. So many of us think we will have a million opportunities to play with our little ones, but it is not always the case, so take every opportunity you are given.

Family Movie Night

Tonight was Family Movie Night. We have very few nights when we are not running and tonight was one of those nights. The boys have been wanting to see Eclipse from the Twilight Saga so that was what we watched. Well, what we are watching. I love family movie night just because it means we are spending time together and enjoying each other.

We try to make sure we take one night a week and do nothing, but with Chess, basketball, baseball, choir, cub scouts, homework, and everything else that is jammed into one week that is getting harder and harder to do. We are staying determined to keep it up. This week is actually slower with basketball just ending and baseball not quite started yet. We actually have the rest of the week off until this weekend which is jammed with activities but they should all be great.

Danny gave it up early and was sound asleep. John Michael is still going. Hopefully he will go to sleep soon so that momma and daddy can go to bed. We want to get to bed early. It helps us all function better in the mornings.

Well it s before 9, but with John Michael still awake I cannot imagine when we will actually get into bed. I am hoping sooner than later, but we shall see what he is thinking. Before I go to bed I will say a prayer for all of my family and friends. Family is so precious and that is why I cherish mine. I hope that you all do as well.

March....Seriously?!

WOW! I cannot believe that today is March 1. This year is seriously flying by. So many amazing things have happened already and so many amazing things to go. I can remember thinking that it took forever to get from Christmas to my birthay, now it comes too quickly after Christmas. The strange thing is the date has not changed for either of these.

We had Boy Scouts tonight. I forgot my camera which I hate since tonight we combined the Tiger's Den and the Wolf Den and watched a magic show. Dawn did a great job showing the boys some tricks and then letting them try their hand at magic. Danny even took a few tricks of his own, and showed them some skills. It was so cute and a lot of fun. It is great to watch these boys grow up and realize just all that they have done in such a short time. They will all be advancing soon, and I know that they are very excited about this.

John Michael had a fun day today. Tomorrow is Dr. Suess's birthday so today they made Cat in the Hat hats, bow ties, and even tails! I love it! It made my morning when I saw the 4K teachers already in costume, and then to see the kiddos come out this afternoon was what I needed.

So we had someone come out and look at the lovely leak at the bottom of our stairs. Thank you so much for coming. If you need anything done at your house call Shelby Box! Well, the good news, the wall should be okay. The bad news is it seems to be the water heater. He could have repaired it, but said a plumber can give us the extended warranties and maintenance and the price would be the same. We have Wilbur's coming out Friday and we are looking into going tankless. We will see what that price is first. Shelby did get the carpet up right there so that the drying can happen. I will keep you all posted on the repairs.

So it is not 9, but only an hour later and I am off to bed! Before I go to bed I will say a prayer for all of my friends and family. I hope that March brings many blessings to all of you!
