A Day With Danny

Danny came with me today to do a newborn session in Gardendale.  Liam was the sweetest baby.  For more on this session watch the blog at www.monicaannephotography.com I cannot wait to show off these ADORABLE pictures.  I hope that his mom and dad like them as much as I do. 
After the session Danny and I headed to the school to pay for the book fees, the after school care fees, and the tuition.  Having that off my plate is HUGE!  Now we are really ready for heading back to school.  While we were there Danny got to see Miss Donaldson, which made his day.  He is really excited about fourth grade, almost as excited as John Michael is about first.
Danny and I decided to have lunch at Arby's.  It is one of his favorite places.  It was super packed, but it really was yummy. 
We went to Academy so he could take a tackle box back.  He thought that it was pretty neat to have to fill out the form and sign and print his name.  He did great and I was so proud of him.  I cannot believe how much he is growing up though.
Then Target was calling our name.  I needed a few small plastic bins and I also got him some under shirts.  He wanted a speaker dock for his new iPod so he used some of his birthday money to get one.  He has really loved that thing, and I am so proud of how well he is taking care of it. 

We headed to the store and then home.  We did stop and get John Michael a happy meal, which could have been gold bars as far as he was concerned.  I love it when the little things make him so happy!

We came home and since it was leftover night we went to work on more boxes and just enjoyed the day! 

Just Late

So today I was just late.  Everywhere and with everything.  It was crazy so I am about to head to bed, late as usual but actually a little eralier than yesterday.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.
So this morning I was up and moving, I started editing a little before time to get the boys up and I fell asleep at the computer.  Yep, that should tell me something.  I woke up with 10 minutes to get the boys ready and to VBS.  Well, they got up and moving fast which was nice.

We got to VBS about 30 minutes late, which meant they missed the puppets and were not happy with me.  Tomorrow we will be back on track.  They did have a great time and that is awesome!  I love seeing them having fun with friends and growing closer to Jesus.  It is just amazing.

While they were at VBS I headed to Greystone for a photoshoot.  I love newborns, but boy do they give me baby fever.  It will pass though.  The shoot went great and if you keep up with my blog at http://www.monicaannephotography.com/ you will be able to learn more about it very soon.

After VBS we headed home for a quick lunch and to change clothes and we headed to Deborah's to swim with Kimy and Morgan.  It was nice to get a few hours of relaxing and friends as hectic as this week and today have been.  The boys had a blast, which is what I love.  Doing fun things make the summer much more enjoyable for all of us.

We headed to the new house and they had sanded again.  The security system guys had been there, which is definitely a plus.  I am hoping that they are coming back though because the wires they left out are not too pretty.  The french doors for mom's sitting room and our bedroom had also been delivered.  They were in the garage, but at least they were there.  The door for the HVAC unit was also in the garage.  Progress no matter how small is progress.  Of course there is still a list of things to do, so we will see what happens there.  Hopefully July 16th is still going to happen.  I would love it even more if it was sooner.

After going to the house we headed to practice.  It was a long one, but a good one.  With the district tournament this weekend we need to be ready.  I am so ready and I hope that we win.  I would love to come in first but I definitely want us to continue on.  District, Region, State and World Series.  How awesome would that be!

He Made It

So today is the last Monday of school which is exciting and a little sad.  I just cannot believe how fast it has all gone by.  Today is also extremely busy, but again it will be great.
Danny's class had a field trip today.  I went with them to drive and help chaperone.  We went to the Planitarium at Sanford.  It was a lot of fun and very interesting.  I was so glad that I went. 
I hated that I did not get to clean the van before hand, in fact I was in the parking  lot of the school throwing stuff in the back and front.  Between the boxes and the props for shoots my van is way too full.  I am working on that though.  It is on my list of stuff I have to get done this summer. 
Anyway.  Danny also had Bible Bee practice after school so I got John Michael and then we headed to a parking spot until it was time to get Danny. 
After school was completely over we headed to Springville to see Aubrey and the beautiful Miss Willow.  She is gorgeous, and so full of personality.  She was not completely extactic about her pictures but it was still a lot of fun, and we got some really cute ones.  I cannot wait to see her and photograph her again.
We also went to the new house, they finished the roof which was great news.  They also put the electrical in  for the island but they put it in the wrong spot.  The boards that were molded are gone and replaced, the ones thar are cracked are still there.  Needless to say building a house has several headaches. 

We headed to the ball park when we left the house, Danny had a practice game.  It was for fun.  There were several kids who wanted to practice kid pitch.  They did pretty well too.  It was definitely fun.  Ihope that theydo it more.

Date Night with my Boys

So today, even though WAY too cold, was great.
Today the third grade did the teacher appreciation for the staff at St. Francis Xavier. I was responsible for plates, napkins, and forks. Definitely easy enough. I always just tell those in charge to let me know what is needed and that is my job. I do not mind doing anything to help out and most people know that. I love being involved with my boys' school lives.
It started with Mass with the boys for school. It was said by Bishop Foley, which is always nice.
After Mass and a quick hug from my boys I headed for a photo shoot with a gorgeous newborn and a great family, I managed some candid shots while I was there too. It is always nice to get children in their element. I really like this family, and I know that I have made a new friend for life. Which is always a nice feeling. Today was the 99th day of school which is a HUGE deal for Kindergarten. We finished up John Michael's hat and got it ready for the 100th day of school.
Brandon had a training tonight so he was gone so the boys and I made a date at Arby's. They love it and Brandon not so much. It was a nice treat for the family and I was very thankful to be able to do it for them. They ate great and even when I met a client there they were on their best behavior. My babies are growing up so so fast.
Well, I am off to bed. I hope that Brandon makes it home soon. I miss him like crazy, and he was home this morning, and will be home tonight. Yep, that is how much I love him! I do know that he is on his way. YAY!!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that all of your dreams come true. I know that I am making mine happen!

I love what I Do!

So I have always been told that to be truly happy and successful in your career you have to do what you love. This is so true!
Today I had a newborn session with the stunning Zarah Laia. To find out more about this session follow my blog at www.monicaannephotography.com I will say that it was a great session. I have enjoyed getting to know her mom and dad and I hope that we are able to have a relationship that was built through photography. Zarah definitely has a piece of my heart!
Teresa came and stayed with the boys, and I appreciate it so much! Mom was supposed to be going out of town, but she did not. It looks like that will be next week. We shall see. The boys seem to be great and will definitely be back in school tomorrow. YAY!
