Fridays are Always Full

So today Bradon and I took the boys to school.  I love the fact that he is off on Fridays and is able to spend some time with all of us.  At the end of last year we took advantages of these mornings and made them date days with breakfast at Legend's.  They are closed now, which is pretty dang sad, so today we ran through Bojangles, mainly because of the fact that they have Diet Mountain Dew.  Yes, we do allow drinks to determine where we eat.  Caffiene always trumps food inmy opinion.
I had a photo shoot so we headed to Hoover to visit the Aldridge Gardens.  It was a great shoot with an adorable little boy.  He had just turned one and it needed to be documented.  I love my job and the amazing people that I am blessed enough to work with each day!
I did find out that Aldridge Gardens is going to start enforcing their Photographer's Guild, which means I have to come up with a spare $75.  That is definitely one of those things that is easier said than done.  I have so many sessions there this fall that I am going to have to make it happen.  I will be spending some time praying on this one.  I definitely did not need any extra stress.
Brandon and I headed home so that he could be there when the guys arrived to look at the cabinets in the kitchen that have been busted since before we closed.  Just add that whole deal to the experience.  Another negative bites the dust.  They were supposed to replace the cabinet and instead they placed a skin over it so that you cannot see it.  You know what butt holes....just because I cannot see it does not mean it is not there!!!!
Anyway.  The boys had great days at school and I had a great afternoon at After School Care.  We had planned to go outside, but with the supervisor our with pink eye inside was what happened.  Plus there were a lot of kids today.  Seems like more would be home early with it being a Friday, but that was definitely not the case.
Since I am in charge when Mrs. Debbie cannot be there we had to stay at After School Care a little later than normal.  I took the boys for a Sonic Blast for a treat on our way home.  They were seriously thrilled!

We went swimming for a little while tonight.  I know that the pool will be closing soon and I wish that we could use it every day.  Next summer I plan to be there too much!  I love to swim and to get sun and I figure why not.  Great memories come from summers at the pool.  CAscade Plunge? Zamora Park? Memories coming in yet?

A Normal Week

This morning was a great morning, and like I always say, I hope that they keep it up.  I love mornings where things just go like they should.  Don't we all.
This is a normal school week, so out at 2 today and 3 the rest of the week.  I am really looking forward to it, I know that it will be a great week for the boys, and even for me at ASC.  It will probably seem too fast though.
The boys did have a great day and finally they had some homework to go along with it.  Seriously back to normal.  One of the best things about ASC is the homework room.  It gives all of the students a chance to do their homework which is great.  I am hoping to be able to read tothe little guys and gals so that they can mark that off of their assignment pads too.  I love to read to my boys, but I know that there are a lot of parents who do not have the time and so this would help them and their kids too, and that is always great.
We came home and mom had dinner ready, which again was so nice.  I love the fact that I am not having to stress over dinner.  I also love the fact that not every meal is from the crock pot.  While I love a good crock pot meal, especially in the winter, I do not love every meal from them.
We took the boys to swim for about 45 minutes.  They were shocked that we were not getting in but seriously it was too cold!!!!  They had fun though and that is what matters most to me.  Hopefully we can go several more times before it is closed.

Cousins

Today was another great day with company.  I have always loved to have company but now that we are in this house I really love it.
This morning started off with Brandon and Danny going to get the part for my van.  I really hope that this is all that is needed and that I will have a vehicle again.
About 8:30 Dwight and Chris showed up with a bucket truck to help Brandon hang an extra antenea. He needed a 28 foot extension ladder and his got stolen several years ago so he asked to borrow one, and since they did not have one they brought the next best thing.  The bucket truck.  Looked like a lot of fun to me, Chris was going to take Brandon straight up but somehow Brandon convinced him not to.
Today Margie Rose, Logan and Makenzie came over.  The kids had a blast riding their bikes, building box forts, and yes of course we went swimming.  We swam for a while and then the lightening came so we left.  The kids made a parking lot just for them at the pool.  I love that they are enjoying it so much!
Brandon worked on the van and we think that it is fixed, thank you so much baby for giving me my car back!  I was really tired of checking the water, pouring in more, waiting.  You are amazing.
Margie and mom worked on some more of her boxes.  Progress she is making, but there is a lot more to get done.  We have to get the boxes the heck out of here.  I have a serious bug phobia and I know that cardboard boxes tend to attract bugs.  That is another reason I have been busting my butt to get rid of all of ours.

I just need some shelves and stuff and some ideas on how and where to put some of this stuff.

Another Load

We got up and took the Metro truck back to them so that we would not be charged another day.  Definitely not something we wanted considering we were already paying for one day and for the over 80 miles that we had put on it. You add in  the gas and well, it just sucked and was an expenses that we did not need, but at least it is behind us now.  Of course we could probably use it one more time, but we will make due with what we can get.
After we dropped the truck off we headed to Home Depot and got a few things that we needed for the house.  The list has started and will be in existance forever now, but it feels good to be buying things for our home.  We mainly needed a dust mop, I have never had hardwoods so I have never needed one, and my mom's well was destroyed in the tornado.
We headed to the house and got Charlie Brown.  He only had to spend one night with out us.  We also got mom's rosebush and Brandon's from the house.  Brandon headed home via backroads.  I loaded my van with a few more things from the house and office, like the garbage can for the kitchen and bathroom.  The little things in life.  I headed home via the interstate.  I think the back roads would have put me to sleep.
Charlie Brown was so excited.  I took him for a walk on the leash for a little bit and then he took right to home in the back yard on the run.  The boys were so glad that he was home with us, I think that they were worried.
We took the boys swimming, Brandon has not been able to go since we closed and he wanted to unwind for a few minutes too.  We met two of the neighbors and just had a really nice time together.  I sort of feel like I am living in a dream right now.

Enjoying the Summer

Today we got up and got packing.  We managed to get all of the electronics in the Living Room packed up, with the exception of the TV and the cable box.  This means the Wii is boxed up, you would have thought we put their best friend in a box.  They know that it is coming with us though so all will be well.
We went over to swim with Kimy and Morgan. Morgan and John Michael made the plans for us, but it worked.  We were able to enjoy the company and the summer.  We have been so busy that the boys really have not done anything too exciting for the summer and they do not understand.  Thank you guys so much.  When we get moved we will have to swap up where we swim.  We love spending time with you all and definitely do not want an address change to change that.

We headed home and got back to work.  We are so close, but still so far away.  We will get there though.

Pre-Walk and Good Times

So this morning started pretty early.  We had to be at the new house at 8:30 for the pre-walk through.  I am not really sure what the builder is waiting on to do a punch list, since we are supposed to be closing in a little more than a week. The pre-walk went pretty good, they made another list that was just like the list that I sent them, because again they have yet to take care of any of the issues we have been addressing, some of them since day one.  Grrrr!  All I know is when this process is finished and we have a home I will be so glad.  Hopefully that will be a week from next Monday.  I guess what happens this week will give us the amswers.

After the walk through we headed to the house and got to work. I got the bookshelf in the office almost completely done, still a little bit on the top, and I got most of the crafts packed up.  I also boxed 2 boxes for eBay, I am on hold until after the move.  I still have a few things to list now, but that aside I am done.  We got the boys pool table taken down and ready for the move.

After dinner we headed to swim with some amazing friends.  Kimy you gave us all a much needed and much deserved break from working around the house.  The boys had a great time and so did Brandon and I.  John Michael got to work on swimming some and even jumped off the diving board twice with no floaties.  Danny had a nice water gun fight, which he loves.  It was really great to hang out and see some friends and just not stress for a few minutes.  Thank you so much again!

Now we are home so may the stressing commence!

A Much Needed Break

This morning I made a deal with the boys, if they helped me get something done then we would go swimming.  Progress was definitely made.
We managed to get all of John Micheal's room packed up except for the bags at the top of his closet and a few clothes.  It is amazing how much stuff we got rid of and yet, how much it seems like is making the move with us.  I am sure the second round of throwing out will happen after the move.  The boys know if we do not have somewhere for something them we will have to get rid of it.  They seem okay with that.  Hopefully they really are.
We headed to Deborah and Tony's to swim with Kimy and Morgan Makenzie.  We had such a great time and we all needed to get out and do something different.  We love spending time with them so much and as always we all had a great time.  After we move we will have to swap where we meet to swim.
We came home and got Danny's room cleaned and packed up.  It is amazing what we accomplished once we had gotten out and had a little fun.  Definitely what the doctor ordered.
The boys are going to spend a few more nights in their own rooms and then we are going to move them both into Danny's and break down John Michael's bed, and try to get whatever we can in there so there is one place to go for boxes.  At least the ones from the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Thanks again Kimy for a great afternoon!  We love you!

Welcoming July

So today is July 1st which is exciting for so many reasons.
The first is that if everything goes as planned we close in 15 days!  Praying for smooth sailing from here on out.  So ready to be at our new home.  I am so ready to enjoy the house, the new beginnings that I feel are coming with it.  I am so ready to enjoy the pool with my family, and I am ready to meet all of the great neighbors.  So far I am loving the ones that we have!  I am just ready to be HOME!  We actually did not go to the house today, we had so much to do and we knew that they would probably not have done anything so we are waiting till tomorrow.  This took some serious self control.
Second July is when my sweet baby, Danny, turns 9.  I cannot believe that I have a nine year old boy.  He is such an amazing kiddo and he is so excitd about his birthday.  If all goes as planned we will be moved in and his party will be at the pool.
Another reason is it is the middle of the summer, which is my favorite time of the year.  I love the heat, the family, the friends, just everything!
We headed to Beth's today to get some boxes from her and Brandon!  Thank you guys so much!  They are perfect and already holding a lot of our office stuff.  In fact the desk is emptied and the craft shelf is emptied, which is a HUGE step towards moving out.  Thank you so much.  We love you guys!
We did take the boys to Whataburger today.  The men in my house love it, I could leave it but it was a treat for them and they have all been working hard.
Well, I am off too bed.  I have listed on eBay, written two papers, packed up a HUGE bag for Hannah Home, packed up some things to mail out, paid a bill or two, caught up on my blog, and done a load of laundry, all in the past hour.  Now I am ready for bed, since I have to be up in a few to get started again!
I hope that you all have an amazing week!

Just Late

So today I was just late.  Everywhere and with everything.  It was crazy so I am about to head to bed, late as usual but actually a little eralier than yesterday.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.
So this morning I was up and moving, I started editing a little before time to get the boys up and I fell asleep at the computer.  Yep, that should tell me something.  I woke up with 10 minutes to get the boys ready and to VBS.  Well, they got up and moving fast which was nice.
We got to VBS about 30 minutes late, which meant they missed the puppets and were not happy with me.  Tomorrow we will be back on track.  They did have a great time and that is awesome!  I love seeing them having fun with friends and growing closer to Jesus.  It is just amazing.
While they were at VBS I headed to Greystone for a photoshoot.  I love newborns, but boy do they give me baby fever.  It will pass though.  The shoot went great and if you keep up with my blog at http://www.monicaannephotography.com/ you will be able to learn more about it very soon.
After VBS we headed home for a quick lunch and to change clothes and we headed to Deborah's to swim with Kimy and Morgan.  It was nice to get a few hours of relaxing and friends as hectic as this week and today have been.  The boys had a blast, which is what I love.  Doing fun things make the summer much more enjoyable for all of us.
We headed to the new house and they had sanded again.  The security system guys had been there, which is definitely a plus.  I am hoping that they are coming back though because the wires they left out are not too pretty.  The french doors for mom's sitting room and our bedroom had also been delivered.  They were in the garage, but at least they were there.  The door for the HVAC unit was also in the garage.  Progress no matter how small is progress.  Of course there is still a list of things to do, so we will see what happens there.  Hopefully July 16th is still going to happen.  I would love it even more if it was sooner.
After going to the house we headed to practice.  It was a long one, but a good one.  With the district tournament this weekend we need to be ready.  I am so ready and I hope that we win.  I would love to come in first but I definitely want us to continue on.  District, Region, State and World Series.  How awesome would that be!

Happy Memorial Day

While Memorial Day is always a day that I like to spend outdoors and with my family there is a serious side to it that we often forget about.
So many people have died fighting for the freedoms that so many of us take for granted.  Many people are fighting now and many more will fight.  These people are amazing and the true heros that make America something more.  Men and women give their time and some ultimately their lives for their families and the millions of families who they will never meet.  They do this not because they have to but because they love their country and have chosen to.  To each of you, I wish I could do more, byt thank you.
We headed out to check on the new house to see that they were bricking it still.  Of course they still have not corrected the back, but hopefully they will before they pull out.  Some parts of building are on my nerves.  It will be great when it gets done.
After we left the house we headed to the Chopping Block.  This is the best butcher shop!  We were going to hang out with friends and we thought that we would take another smoked butt!  BBQ is a must for Memorial Day and since the other one was so good we shared!  If you want quality meat head to the Chopping Block, you will not be dissappointed.
We headed to Tami and Kevin's to spend the day.  It was great.  Beer, friends, the pool, the sun, BBQ, family, laughs ...yep absolutely perfect day!  Thank you so much guys for a great Memorial Day.  It was perfect!  You guys are great and I am so so glad that we met this year!
We headed home since everyone is back to normal tomorrow, the boys fell asleep in the van which was no surprise, Brandon was only about five minutes behind the garage door closing.
Well, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!

Play Ball

So today was the tournament at Morris ballpark.  The boys all played great and I was so proud of them all.  They did not win, but it was not for a lack of trying.  Who knows what the outcome would have been had it been fair baseball.  These umpires were a serious joke to the profession.  I do like anyone who is willing to cheat children.  Danny had a great time though and that is what matters most.
After his game we headed home to get ready for John Michael's team party at Tami and Kevin's.  It was great.  It was nice to just relax and hang out.  The kids had a great time.  Their trophies were awesome and I cannot wait till we get to the new house so that we can display it.  He also got a medal for being the most improved.  All of the boys this year grew so much in the sport so that was really great especially for John Michael who was thrilled.  As always thank you Kevin and Tami for a great day!  Thank you to everyone for a great ball season!  The friends that I have made I will cherish forever!
We headed to the butcher shop to get a smoked butt!  I have really been looking foward to some BBQ so this is awesome.  Thank you Chopping Block!
We headed to the new house and the mud was on the sheetrock.  Roughly 45 days, of course we need it in about 35 so we will see what happens.  I plan on having words sooner than later!

Endings

The boys' both finished up the regular season of baseball today.  In fact they both played their last games at 10:00.  Fortunately they were on fields next to each other so I was able to stand in the middle and see them both.  The funny thing was I was on the wrong side for both  teams, but at least I was able to see them.  That is what I cared the most about.
Both teams lost.  John Michael's team I think was worn out from playing till after 10 last night.  Danny's team had the other team, but a bad call and it was all over.  I hate that they ended the way that they did, but they both had a GREAT season and they both had fun (for the most part) and that is what I care about.
Danny's team party was right after the game down at the park by the library.  They had hot dogs, chips, ice cream, and cupcakes.  It was a great party and their trophies were awesome.
We headed to the new house and we were glad to see that they had started the roofing process.  I love to see progress it makes me a very happy lady!

We went to hang out with some great friends tonight.  We had a blast.  The kids played in the pool, and basically wore themselves out.  We had a great time too.  It was nice just to be able to kick back and relax, something that I do not do nearly enough.  Thanks Tami and Kevin for having us over.  Thanks Rebecca and Andy for a great dinner!  You are all awesome!

Photo Shoots and Birthday Parties

So Sunday might be a day of rest for some but for my family it is always one of the busiest days of the week. This week was no exception to the norm.
I had two shoots on Morris Ave. It is definitely a popular place this time of the year. Both of them were great and for more on them stay tuned to my blog at www.monicaannephotography.com I cannot wait to start editing them.
Danny had a birthday party for his best buddy. It was at the Trussville YMCA and the boys were pumped that they were going to get to go swimming. I have to admit I was a little jealous that Brandon was getting to go with them, but I am super glad that they all had such a good time.
Mom called when I was headed home and mentioned that she was headed to Costa's needless to say I stole her idea and headed there for dinner. I just did not feel like cooking and I have to say it was delicious. I ended up pulling in right in front of her.
It was a great Sunday and I was so thankful for the work and the time with my family!

Sweet, Sweet Saturday

So there was a lot to get done this morning, and of course not all of it got done, but progress was made. Especially with my homework and editing photographs from Carrie and Keith's wedding. I am having a blast with getting this completed, but as all photographs are it can be very time consuming. I just hope that the bride and groom are enjoying what they have seen so far. Of course there will be more on the wedding later visit http://www.monicaannephotography.com/ to stay in touch with my photography journey.

Brandon's allergies decided to send him into a serious cold. Of course, my mom telling people yesterday he had one when he didn't probably jinxed it. There was no fever and still is not thank goodness. I just hope that tomorrow he is 100% I do not like it when my men are sick.

Josie's First Birthday Party was today. I cannot believe that she is a year old. It does not seem like it has been over a year that I was at Beth's Baby Shower...or almost right at a year that I was taking pictures of the sweet girl. Now here we are a year later. She is a precious baby. She is so friendly and so sweet and happy! Love surrounds Josie and Josie truly radiates love. We all went to the party. One we love Josie, Beth, and Brandon two I was photographing the special day and Brandon was videoing it. When Beth asked me to do this...all I could think was duh! Well, that was after my are you sure it is that time already? The party was truly a perfect first birthday party. More on this will be on my blog as soon as possible. It was a great party though, Beth and Brandon you should be so proud.

We had to go to my mom's as soon as we left the party. She was calling and texting worried about the fact her television was not working. Brandon got it fixed, well the one in the living room at least. I am glad that we got her at least half way to where she was!

The boys and I took Brandon and the big cameras home and then we went to visit Morgan Makenzie so that the boys could swim. They are always excited to see Morgan and when there is a pool involved they are even more excited! They swam for a couple of hours and then we came on home to check on Brandon.

I also want to wish our Nephew Hudson a very Happy First Birthday! I hope that his day and his party were amazing. We love you guys!

One more thing that I want to celebrate tonight. Alexa Nicole and Amanda are home in their own beds tonight. Hoping that the first night at home is a great one for the whol family. We love you guys and I hope to visit next week!

Well, everyone is in bed now and I am soon to head there myself. Lots to do tomorrow. Hoping that I hear the alarm so we can head to the 8:30 Mass. Good night everyone. I hope that you all have had a super sweet Saturday! It is definitely one of my favorite days of the week! Enjoy your family and the time that you are able to spend together so many times we all take it for granted.

Fun in the Sun

Today was a great day! Waking up on the water is always a nice feeling! Danny was up and ready to fish before 7 this morning. It was all good though. He fished while I cooked breakfast. Then we had a few errands to go run, so we got them all done and were back before 11, which left a lot of time for water fun and some relaxing time in the sun.

I spent most of the day fishing, swimming, and just having a good time with the three men in my life who make every morning more than a blessing.

John Michael had Batman swimming with him, at one point we had 2 Batmans and 1 Robin. 3 Batmans if you count him. It was great, I dubbed them the defenders of the pier, especially once he was done playing with them, but wanted them to watch him! He also was Captain Jack Sparrow for a while today, he loves Pirates! I was tickled when he kissed my cheek, and even posted to the world on FaceBook that I got a kiss on the cheek from Captain Jack Sparrow!

Nick and Elliott came to spend the afternoon and night with us. John Michael was so glad to have Elliott here with him, and Danny was super excited to have Uncle Nick to fish with!

Danny also finally lost his tooth. He pulled it himself. Come to find out that is all the hold up was, he did not want momma to pull it, he wanted to do it himself. Just a little more growing up :(

I started drinking my bottle of Riesling from Sam's this afternoon and it took me all day but I finished it! Of course now I am out of wine, and am back to sweet tea. It was nice just to enjoy the water, my family, and a good glass of wine! I joked with Brandon that I conquered the bottle.

Well, I know that this is short, but I am editing the wedding from last weekend and need to get back to work! I hope that you all have a great night.

First Day of School

So school started today, and of course we started it off by running behind. We were not late by any means, but I did not get as much time with them and my camera before school. Oh well, they were on time and that is what matters. They were so ready this morning, and getting them ready was probably the easiest it will be all year. I am very thankful though. I will definitely take each good morning as it comes! I hope for more of them.

John Michael had no problem walking straight to his class. I was teary, but did okay. He is growing up so fast.

Danny was a little hesitant, but I told him not to let what other people say be his judge. He is his own person and should make his own decisions about 3rd grade.

Both of the boys looked so handsome this morning. They can definitely rock the St. Francis Uniform. Brandon and I were definitely the proud mom and dad.

When I came home I worked on getting the Cub Scout calendar together for the year. We are always scrambling and that is not going to be the case this year. My goal for this week is cub scouts, next week I will take the house back over. Today I was able to get the dates written out on paper, and while the den meeting dates may change due to sports the pack meetings will not. I have also started to get trips planned, guest speakers, and popcorn issues all worked out! It will be nice to have this together when the leaders meet up. It will also make it easier for us to meet via e-mail as most details will be worked out instead of going in blank.

The boys' got out at 1 today and I was so ready to pick them up. I could not wait to hear about their day. John Michael said that he loved ordering his lunch and that chicken dinosaurs are his new favorite. He also said that he wants to order more than once a week, that is doable, but will have to wait for next month. He told me all about his teacher, his rules, and his new friends. He also was very proud of the fact that he did his work, and yes it was coloring! Danny said that his day was great. He said that he was worried about nothing! He knows it is going to be a tough year, but also knows that it will be a fun one. Needless to say all good reports and huge smiles.

Brandon wanted us to drop by on our way home so he could be filled in so we did, but on our way I got them both a snack size McFlurry, which made their day! I am just glad I had some quarters in the door pocket so that I could do it for them.

We went swimming at Deborah's for a while. The boys were glad that Morgan Makenzie came out to swim with them, and John Michael told her all about his day! Thank you so much for letting us come over! It means a lot to us all. It was a great way for the boys to unwind.

We came home and homework was done, dinner was eaten, baths and showers were given, and the sweet dreams have started.

Overall it was a great day and night! Now I am off to bed so that we can do it again in the morning! Know that you will all be in my prayers as I go to bed.

Boat Captains

So today started off with a boat ride, which was nice. Especially since John Michael was determined not to go. I am glad that Brandon insisted, because I was going to be the one staying behind with him. While on the boat Danny and John Michael both had turns being the Captain with Uncle Bill. Danny drove most of the way, and really had a great time. He listened and asked questions and was just really into it. John Michael drove for about 5 minutes, but he still had a good time!

The rest of today was spent swimming and fishing. The boys did not catch anything but it was not for a lack of trying. The last day there is always cleaning day so all the laundry has to be done, and the floors vacuumed, swept and mopped. Lysol counters and all that fun stuff. It is no big deal, but it does cut into play time.

We got everything done and were headed home by about 7:30. It is nice to be home, but I have to admit, I could easily be spoiled waking up to the water every day. It will be about 3 weeks before we can go back, but we do hope to go a good bit even through the fall and winter. Seems sad not too, plus we have a lot of work we want to do when we go and that will be easier when the water is down, and it is a little cooler!

Well, I am off so I can edit and go to bed. First things first, I have to get the boys to sleep. You would think they would be out, but nope still going!

Know that you are all in my prayers. I hope that memories were mad by everyone this weekend. Even if not at the lake, or some other fun destination, a weekend at home can be stacked full of memories too!

Transformer Fish and Killer Splinters

Today has been a great day at the lake! Especially considering that we actually got a good night's sleep! YAY for a new bed! It is amazing what a small difference can make such a huge difference!

We went on a boat ride this morning with Uncle Bill and Aunt Peggy, we are looking forward to heading out early tomorrow morning for another one. Of course this means we need to be in bed earlier. We will see how that works out. I am working on pictures and Brandon and the boys are fishing and catching lightening bugs. Considering it is almost nine I hope that they are willing to put the wraps on it soon. Then they can get their showers while I work some more and then to bed we will go. At least I hope that all happens sooner than later!

I love a nice ride around the lake, hopefully one day we will own a boat. I will barter photographer services for a boat that floats and runs...Just in case you know someone, please pass the word along.

We pulled out Danny's bumper boat from a few years ago, in fact about 4 years ago, maybe even 5. Anyway, the batteries still worked and I know it has been about 3 since we put batteries in it. We will bring some more for our next venture up here, but for today and tomorrow they served the purpose and John Michael had a blast on it. Danny has gotten a little big, but that is life.

The boys of course perfected some of their jumps, well worked on perfecting them. John Michael worked on several jumps, Danny worked on his dive. I am so proud of the boys! They are doing so well in the water this year. I hate that it will be at least 2 weeks before we come back, but that is life.

John Michael and Danny decided that it was time to fish. Danny caught a baby fish...it was a tiny little brim. John Michael finally caught his first fish. It was a small bass. He decided that it was a brim, and that it changed into a bass. Then as they threw it back into the water it changed yet again into a sword fish. He decided that his fish was most definitely a tansformer fish, which made it way cooler than most fish. He was petrified of the fish and would not even hold the line so that I could get a picture so Brandon and Danny each held the line while he held the rod. The fish was after him because it was mad that it was caught.

John Michael got a splinter today while on the pier and so far has not let us get it out. I am thinking this will have to be done while he sleeps. No need for an infection. He decided that this would make it impossible for him to walk, and with the splinter it was hard enough. No matter how much we assured him that if he would let us get the splinter his foot would feel better he was determined that we were wrong. No experience with splinters here. I know that it hurts and it makes me sad that he is hurting but I also know if he would listen he would feel better.

Well, I am off. Hopefully the men will head up soon! Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that everyone is making a few more summer memories, at it is quickly coming to a close, which makes me pretty sad.

My Little Chef

Today was a very good day. We went to my mom's who has been in Oregon and did a few things around her house before she got home. She is home safe, sound, and exhausted. I talked to her for a little while, but told her to call me tomorrow that I was not going to call and wake her up. I am glad that she had a good time and was about to spend some time with family that we do not get to see nearly enough.

I also was able to get a lot accomplished with editing the photographs. Beach session is completed and blogged about, go check it out! Working on the wedding now. YAY for a busy growing business! I love what I do and am so thankful for all of the support that I have received.

I even made a dent in the laundry. Still have a ways to go to be done, but hopefully tomorrow I can round it all out.

Brandon and the boys like this weird concoction of food. Me, not so much, but I do make it for them. We were talking about the strangeness of it this past weekend so I decided to make it for them tonight. Danny wanted to learn how so I let him help. He is getting so big so fast.

Brandon went straight from the Network to the Ballpark to work on getting orders for this ball season. I am hoping that some more come in. Sunday is the last day for football registration and I hope that the orders come in for him. He is giving everyone through the first week of practice to order the package deal at an amazing discount!

While Brandon was there and after the boys ate we went to Amy and Terry's for a little swim time. Amy and I did some exercises while the kids played. It was a lot of fun! I hope that we can do it more. It was also just a nice way to relax at the end of the day! Thanks you guys! Danny and Sasha were hilarious with the waterproof camera and their skits!

Well, if John Michael is asleep I am headed there myself. We have a lot to do tomorrow, especially if the lake is in our future for this weekend?! Fingers crossed! I will be praying for all of you and I hope that you all have a day full of many blessings tomorrow. Who knew something as small as Danny helping with dinner could mean so much!

Meetings and Friends

So today started late. I slept much later than I wanted or needed to but I guess my body had different plans. Oh well, it was still a productive day so I have no complaints.

Brandon had to go to Clay Recreation to be there for football registration. He will be video taping all of the football games, as long as enough people purchase the discs. I really hope that they do. I will go one Saturday with him to get some photographs, but this will be his fall baby. The boys had to go with him today, because I had to meet with a couple about a wedding. He said that the boys were great and as always Danny got a kick out of helping. There were no orders today, but several fliers went home. Come on everyone, it is a great deal! Praying that more orders will start to come in. Also praying that more people sign up, right now I think registration is pretty low.

The couple that I met with today was amazing. They are so sweet and are going to be stunning to photograph. I am looking forward to August 5th when I am able to be a part of their very special day. TC and Danielle I know that you two will be very happy! They are very easy going, which is always nice.

After Brandon and I got home from our business for the day everyone changed and we headed to Amy and Terry's for dinner and swimming. It was great spending time with them and Terri. The kids all had a blast. Between the pool, hot dogs, and the Wii I am not sure what they enjoyed the best. After dinner the moms all got into the pool and it was a lot of fun! Thanks again for having us over.

Well, everyone is home and it was not long at all and the boys (all three of them) were passed out. I love it when they play themselves to bed. Tomorrow is going to be busy, laundry, cleaning errands and a photo session are just a glimpse into what it will bring.

So I am going to join everyone else in dreamland. I am pretty beat. I am so thankful for good friends and a growing business, all of which were the highlights of the weekend. Praying for everyone!
