Seriously?!

So today started off pretty good.  We were spending the day at home working on getting ready for the move.  We have so much to get done.
We worked pretty hard in Danny's room and were able to get all of his desk stuff packed up, which may not seem like much but it definitely was huge.  We also got a good bit thrown away, a good bit for donations and one thing to try to sell on eBay.  Maybe we will get his room done next week.
We also worked in mine and Brandon's room a good bit.  I was able to get the junk drawer cleaned out.  I was also able to get the dresser cleaned off which was great.  Just the little knick knack stuff that takes so much time.  We also packed a good bit of Brandon's clothes, at least his winter clothes.
Progress was definitely something that was happening today and that is always something that I need to be able to say.
We had practice tonight.  They focused on fielding.  This is a great group of boys and I hope that they make some progress and get some wins under them.  I know that they can do it.  We have a tournament in Moody starting tomorrow and I would love to see them go far in the brackets.
So the seriously is just about the crap that seems to keep popping up.  I am probably going to be headed back to work soon to try to eliminate at least the money portion of the problems.  I need more good news than anything else!  I love working fro myself but the increase in gas and printing has me barely breaking even and some photo shoots I am actuallu falling behind.  Just going to be spending some time concentrating on what needs to happen.

Tired

So today started with a photo shoot at the Botanical Gardens.  I love heading there, but HOT was the word for today, especially at 11:00.  The boys were EXCELLENT though and for that I am so so thankful.  We did see a bunny there, which I prefer VERY much over the snakes that have been appearing everywhere.  The shoot was great and I cannot wait to tell you all more about it!
We had a few more errands to run, the post office was high on that list.  I am so thankful for the fact that so much is selling on eBay.  I just need some time to get some more listed and some more ready to go to the Post Office.
We also packed a lot of things today.  We got most of the DVDs, and even most of the pictures off of the wall.  I cannot believe how empty the house looks.  It is sad, and exciting all at the same time.
Danny had practice tonight, which ended up just being batting practice, but it is what it is.  I am loving All Stars and I know that my baby is too which means so much to me.

Happy Memorial Day

While Memorial Day is always a day that I like to spend outdoors and with my family there is a serious side to it that we often forget about.
So many people have died fighting for the freedoms that so many of us take for granted.  Many people are fighting now and many more will fight.  These people are amazing and the true heros that make America something more.  Men and women give their time and some ultimately their lives for their families and the millions of families who they will never meet.  They do this not because they have to but because they love their country and have chosen to.  To each of you, I wish I could do more, byt thank you.
We headed out to check on the new house to see that they were bricking it still.  Of course they still have not corrected the back, but hopefully they will before they pull out.  Some parts of building are on my nerves.  It will be great when it gets done.
After we left the house we headed to the Chopping Block.  This is the best butcher shop!  We were going to hang out with friends and we thought that we would take another smoked butt!  BBQ is a must for Memorial Day and since the other one was so good we shared!  If you want quality meat head to the Chopping Block, you will not be dissappointed.
We headed to Tami and Kevin's to spend the day.  It was great.  Beer, friends, the pool, the sun, BBQ, family, laughs ...yep absolutely perfect day!  Thank you so much guys for a great Memorial Day.  It was perfect!  You guys are great and I am so so glad that we met this year!
We headed home since everyone is back to normal tomorrow, the boys fell asleep in the van which was no surprise, Brandon was only about five minutes behind the garage door closing.
Well, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!

Couponing

So I have been working on couponing and Danny has been my little helper.  Well, lately I have had too much going on to even try to get anywhere with it but Danny has not given up.  My sweet baby has been working so hard getting the cut and organized and I am so proud of him.  Today he wanted to go shopping and use some coupons.  So we headed to Publix since there were things we had to have and we used some coupons.  We save about $25 which is always awesome.  Hopefully we can keep increasing the savings and decreasing the bills.  That would be so super amazing.  I appreciate my little man and all he has done to help.  We will keep working at it so watch for updates!

Play Ball

So today was the tournament at Morris ballpark.  The boys all played great and I was so proud of them all.  They did not win, but it was not for a lack of trying.  Who knows what the outcome would have been had it been fair baseball.  These umpires were a serious joke to the profession.  I do like anyone who is willing to cheat children.  Danny had a great time though and that is what matters most.
After his game we headed home to get ready for John Michael's team party at Tami and Kevin's.  It was great.  It was nice to just relax and hang out.  The kids had a great time.  Their trophies were awesome and I cannot wait till we get to the new house so that we can display it.  He also got a medal for being the most improved.  All of the boys this year grew so much in the sport so that was really great especially for John Michael who was thrilled.  As always thank you Kevin and Tami for a great day!  Thank you to everyone for a great ball season!  The friends that I have made I will cherish forever!
We headed to the butcher shop to get a smoked butt!  I have really been looking foward to some BBQ so this is awesome.  Thank you Chopping Block!
We headed to the new house and the mud was on the sheetrock.  Roughly 45 days, of course we need it in about 35 so we will see what happens.  I plan on having words sooner than later!

The Days of Summer

So today was the first day of summer for me and the boys!  Brandon is also off today so we had a lot on the todo list, but it was all fun.
Brandon started by going to the new house to find something out about the window in the bedroom that does not work, the brick and why it is not done right, and the island.  The island they are moving about 5 inches, even though I wanted at least a foot preferrably 2.  The window they are waiting on the window guys and the brick they said that they would correct.  We shall see how it all goes.
The boys and I headed to Alabaster for a photoshoot.  It was a gorgeous family and a very fun life filled little boy!  I love my job!  The boys had a blast paying on the playground and watching the baby geese.  I was glad to start summer out with a fun activity.
We headed home and we all lounged before we started to run. I was able to get some more pictures edited for clients, and I also got some more things on eBay.
We headed to the house to check on progress.  The sheetrock is done and ready for mud and they were finishing up the front brick.  Still no brick on the back though.  Seriously guys let's get our shit together.  The pictures you see are the boys in their rooms!  Now we are just waiting on the guys to mud it, I would love for them  to be there tomorrow.  We shall see.  I am hoping that they can continue this push, this is so important to me.

Then we headed to Morris for the second All-Star game.  I was super excited to see Terri, Steven, and Alex.  Thank you guys so much for coming to cheer us on.  We did not win, but the calls were REALLY bad. Obviously these guys are from Morris, that is who we played tonight.  The single elimination tournament starts for us at 10:00 in the morning.  Praying that we do well.  I would love to see these boys win this invitational and I know that they can do it.  GO CLAY!!!

4th Grade

So this morning I took the last picture of Danny as a third grader at home.  He was not thrilled about having his picture taken but he also knows that his momma is very sentimental, and she loves to have her pictures!
We went to the last school mass of the year.  It was great as always, but I cannot believe that school is over.  I was pretty teary especially thinking about so much that is going on right now.  I spent a lot of time Thanking God for all of the blessings that He has given me, and also asking for some guidance.
The rising of the grades was after Mass and Danny officially became a 4th grader.  All I can say is WOW!
He got his report card and ISB test reults.  I am proud to say that we finished with all A's and B's, and that he scored above average in almost every category.  I am so so proud of my little man.  I just cannot believe that he is growing up so fast.
So summer has started!  I am so excited.  We are going to be super busy, but it is going to be great!
We had our first All Star game tonight, which was exciting.  It was in Morris which is seriously out there, but it is fine with me, I am just glad that he is playing and that he is having a good time.  They did not win, but it was one bad inning that cost it for them, they played great.  Mom came with me which was fun.   She worries so much about everything that all I could do was laugh.

Brandon went by the house and they have started to hang the sheetrock, in fact they were not too far from done!  YAY!!  The picture is from our bedroom.  They also worked on the brick but they finished off the corners in the back for siding and we are supposed to have four sides brick not three.
