Party Hard Sunday

The plan to get up this morning did not happen, in fact everyone in my house slept late. I cannot believe it. I guess we all needed it. We will do better, we will do better, we will do better. Let me rephrase that I will do better! Starting tomorrow that is.

Morgan's 3rd birthday party was today and it was a blast. The boys had the best time. Morgan seemed so excited with all of her presents. She is such a sweet girl, and truly precious. Her party was Strawberry Shortcake, and so cute. Kimy and Steven outdid themselves as always with activities for the kids. 2 water slides and a pool, not to mention the water guns! The decorations were adorable. I loved all of the pink and green. With 2 boys pink is something I do not get to see enough of. It was great to catch up with so many people.

I feel like I am making some progress with the house and all of the editing that I have to do. I have been focusing on the kitchen and of course laundry today. It is a never ending battle, but one that has some hope. The boys are pretty much grounded until their rooms are cleaned. Mainly because I busted my rear earlier this week with it and now they are both trashed. Needless to say I am not a happy momma.

Well, tomorrow I have to finish a presentation and a paper for class and work on some more pictures. I also have to get this house in order.

I cannot believe that July is now a thing of the past. Hello August. So many things happening this month personally and with business. So many blessings! Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers tonight. Going to take some Aleve for my shoulder and going to bed. Good night all!

Danny's Party

Today we knew was going to be a bog day for Danny, it was time for the 8th birthday party. We started to downsize this year, which was hard for him, but it is definitely time. I am also happy to announce that the party was not here, which makes my life much easier. He opted for Lightening Strikes, and it was a lot of fun. I am not sure that they guy who was our "Party Host" had much love for children though. We seemed to spend most of the party chasing him down. That was pretty frustrating considering the cost of the parties. I asked to speak to a manager, because there was no air in the party room and again the "host" was more like a ghost. I was told that one was not available. I am thinking a phone call on Monday could definitely be a requirement. I was slightly upset, but I tried to hide it.

Danny had a great turnout. We just invited the boys from the class this year. Again it was different for him, but definitely a good thing. He was so excited that Baily came, Danny has been a little sad that Baily will not be at SFX this year so when he was at the party it meant a lot to Danny. I think all the guys were glad to see him.

Amy as always did and amazing job with the cake, Danny loved it. He wanted Baseball players bowling and he got them. It looked great and tasted great! Thank you my cake making friend!

After the party we had to go spend some of the money that he got at Academy. He wanted some fishing tackle. He got a few things, and was pretty excited about them. He cannot wait for school to start now, but only because that is the weekend we are going to the lake. He cracks me up sometimes.

Party time again tomorrow, but after church and some work around the house. The plan is to get up at 7, alarms are set and hopefully it will happen!

Very excited about some plans that were made today and the new grill for the lake that is on layaway at Kmart! Yay! Many blessings today. I know that tomorrow will be full of even more.

Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers! I know that this is a hard time for everyone, for many different reasons. Know that whether or not you have voiced your requests I am praying for everyone. Many blessings tomorrow for you all!

Zydeco

Today was a strange day. I did not sleep well at all last night because of my back, well actually it is my shoulder. Anyway, I was just exhausted all day. I do not like feeling that way at all. Anyway, it will pass, I hope. I would go to the chiropractor but the $600 deductible is in my way, I will accept a donation for it though! J/k

The boys went to Nana's tonight to spend the night because I had a job at Zydeco and Brandon came along to help out. It was so much fun. I was photographing Honey Baked as they did their reunion concert tonight. They were amazing and I am so glad that we went. Nothing like working and getting a semi date night out of it too. We had dinner before the show since it did not start till 10:30.

Now I have to buckle down this weekend, I have to finish editing the wedding I am working on, get the concert done, as well as some personal pics that I have taken, like Danny's 8th birthday. Not to mention his birthday party and Morgan's on Sunday. It is definitely a photography filled weekend. All definitely blessings though! I also have some school work to get done. I am hoping to do it in the morning. At least a good bit of it.

Well, I am off to bed. It has been a long time since I was at a Club til after 1 and we have to get the boys by 10 in the morning. I will be praying for you all tonight. Hopefully I will get some sleep.

Danny Man is 8

So this morning Danny was up first. Completely dressed and ready to start the day! Of course this meant basketball shorts instead of what I wanted him to wear but that is okay. He was happy and comfortable and I still managed some great shots of him for his Birthday!

We started the Day out at Whataburger for breakfast. John Michael was telling the cashier that it was Danny's birthday and Danny got a cinnamon roll from them. He was embarrassed at first that John Michael was telling everyone it was his special day, but when he started to get some freebies he felt pretty good.

We ended up going to several stores, he contemplated the movies but chose Academy over that. It was Charlie Brown's birthday too, our Beagle is 4, and so we stopped by Pet Smart to get him a few treats to celebrate too. He seemed excited to have a new wheel on a rope, a new ball, and then a bone! The boys love surprising the dog, which is sweet. I just wish that they would play with him more.

John Michael picked Danny out a toy that was just from him. It was Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Anyway, we got it while we were shopping. We came home so John Michael could wrap it. I gave him some Happy Birthday paper, he said no. Then some Batman, and again no. He wanted Sponge bob, the thing is the Sponge Bob is Christmas. He used it and wrapped the gift all by himself. It was a sweet moment.

We got Danny a Tackle Box at Academy with a little tackle and a 3D DS. He was pumped!

We went to Outback for dinner and it was yummy. Danny ended up getting the mixed grill, which had a little of everything. chicken, ribs, and shrimp. He loved it but of course we brought a good bit home. Mom, Deborah, and Sybil met us there and they surprised Danny with a Cake. He was so worried to because he asked mom about it and she said that she forgot, when they brought it out he was thrilled.

I have to say Danny had an amazing day and so did the rest of us. Very tired though!

Seven is Almost a Thing of the Past...

Well, today was a bittersweet type of day. It is my baby's last day to be seven. He is so excited and I have to admit that I am excited, but also sad. I swear it goes by so fast and each year it seems to increase in speed and passes by me before I realize it. That is why this year I have been determined to smell the roses, count the blessings, and enjoy life. Not to say that it is perfect but my attitude towards it is definitely positive, which makes such a huge difference. Staying away from so many negatives aspects that life throws at us has opened up so many doors and windows to positive, exciting, experiences.

There was nothing amazing about most of the day. The highlight was definitely when Kimy texted to see if I wanted to bring the boys swimming. What a great way to end being seven, a trip to the pool. Thank you Deborah, Tony, Kimy, and Miss Morgan Makenzie for a great day! We love you all. BTW, Deborah if you are reading this, mom is supposed to call you about coming with us to Outback tomorrow night! I hope that you will! Danny was really excited that you wanted to come, and mom seemed glad that someone was willing to ride with her. Love you!

The boys had a blast at the pool. Danny had fun working on his dives off of an actual diving board, and also diving for torpedoes. It made his day! John Michael was just proud that he was not scared of the diving board anymore. John Michael also let me work with him for a little while without his floaties. I am definitely a proud momma. Many blessings, and more proof that my boys are growing up.

Bedtime was actually much easier than I thought that it would be. Usually it is harder for Danny, like any kid, to go to sleep when they are excited. He must have been tired, because he laid down next to me on the couch and was out.

Well, I am off myself. Tomorrow is my baby's special day and while I do not know what all we are doing, I do know that he wants to be out all day! It should be a lot of fun, and I am just excited to spend the day with my three men. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Please say a special prayer for my little man that he has a great day tomorrow!

Legos

So as productive as yesterday was today was pretty much static. I am not sure what the deal was, but it was just that so I made do.

We went to the store so that we could have groceries in the house. It is never an easy trip with the boys, I usually end up with only half of what I needed to get yet twice as much as I was planning on. Does that make any sense? Well, I am sure to all moms out there it makes perfect sense.

We came home and Danny wanted to play with his legos and asked if he could bring them upstairs. I said yes, but told him to remember that his room was clean and that I wanted to keep it that way. I was working in the kitchen and well, I heard them hitting the floor. Never a good sign. I was irritated, but decided that I would finish putting the groceries up and then play Legos with him.

The boys and I had a great time playing with Legos. Tomorrow I will focus more on the things that I have to be ale to get done. The rest of the house that is!

Well, I am off to bed. I know that this short, but I am exhausted! I am enjoying Danny's Birthday week though. Tomorrow I will probably be a bit of a wreck as it is Danny's last day to be seven! Time is flying. Waffles for breakfast they are his favorite!

Good night, and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!

A Storm to Bid You Good Night

So I was sitting down last night to do my blog and a storm came up and the lightening and the thunder were intense. Needless to say the computer was unplugged and turned off so I am catching up tonight. Maybe one day I will get to a point that I am not playing catch up. Until then, I will enjoy life.

All I could think when the storm rolled up was why is Danny now asleep. I could have gotten some amazing sleep during this time. I love stormy sleep. It is most definitely the best that there is. Oh well, he finally fell asleep and when I headed to bed and got the candles all burned out the storm was pretty much passed us. Maybe next time.

Today was a very productive day for me. I was able to get all of the bedrooms cleaned, including dusting and changing the sheets. This might seem like a simple task but it was not. Two bags of garbage, two bags for donations, and a serious sense of accomplishment.

I was also able to get all of the clothes washed. Laundry is never fun, mainly because it is so constant, but getting it caught up for at least one day was super exciting.

The picture that I am using is from the storm. It is through the window so not the best.

Well, I am off so I can do tonight's blog! I will do better, I will do better, I will do better! Now that is covered!

Boat Captains

So today started off with a boat ride, which was nice. Especially since John Michael was determined not to go. I am glad that Brandon insisted, because I was going to be the one staying behind with him. While on the boat Danny and John Michael both had turns being the Captain with Uncle Bill. Danny drove most of the way, and really had a great time. He listened and asked questions and was just really into it. John Michael drove for about 5 minutes, but he still had a good time!

The rest of today was spent swimming and fishing. The boys did not catch anything but it was not for a lack of trying. The last day there is always cleaning day so all the laundry has to be done, and the floors vacuumed, swept and mopped. Lysol counters and all that fun stuff. It is no big deal, but it does cut into play time.

We got everything done and were headed home by about 7:30. It is nice to be home, but I have to admit, I could easily be spoiled waking up to the water every day. It will be about 3 weeks before we can go back, but we do hope to go a good bit even through the fall and winter. Seems sad not too, plus we have a lot of work we want to do when we go and that will be easier when the water is down, and it is a little cooler!

Well, I am off so I can edit and go to bed. First things first, I have to get the boys to sleep. You would think they would be out, but nope still going!

Know that you are all in my prayers. I hope that memories were mad by everyone this weekend. Even if not at the lake, or some other fun destination, a weekend at home can be stacked full of memories too!

Transformer Fish and Killer Splinters

Today has been a great day at the lake! Especially considering that we actually got a good night's sleep! YAY for a new bed! It is amazing what a small difference can make such a huge difference!

We went on a boat ride this morning with Uncle Bill and Aunt Peggy, we are looking forward to heading out early tomorrow morning for another one. Of course this means we need to be in bed earlier. We will see how that works out. I am working on pictures and Brandon and the boys are fishing and catching lightening bugs. Considering it is almost nine I hope that they are willing to put the wraps on it soon. Then they can get their showers while I work some more and then to bed we will go. At least I hope that all happens sooner than later!

I love a nice ride around the lake, hopefully one day we will own a boat. I will barter photographer services for a boat that floats and runs...Just in case you know someone, please pass the word along.

We pulled out Danny's bumper boat from a few years ago, in fact about 4 years ago, maybe even 5. Anyway, the batteries still worked and I know it has been about 3 since we put batteries in it. We will bring some more for our next venture up here, but for today and tomorrow they served the purpose and John Michael had a blast on it. Danny has gotten a little big, but that is life.

The boys of course perfected some of their jumps, well worked on perfecting them. John Michael worked on several jumps, Danny worked on his dive. I am so proud of the boys! They are doing so well in the water this year. I hate that it will be at least 2 weeks before we come back, but that is life.

John Michael and Danny decided that it was time to fish. Danny caught a baby fish...it was a tiny little brim. John Michael finally caught his first fish. It was a small bass. He decided that it was a brim, and that it changed into a bass. Then as they threw it back into the water it changed yet again into a sword fish. He decided that his fish was most definitely a tansformer fish, which made it way cooler than most fish. He was petrified of the fish and would not even hold the line so that I could get a picture so Brandon and Danny each held the line while he held the rod. The fish was after him because it was mad that it was caught.

John Michael got a splinter today while on the pier and so far has not let us get it out. I am thinking this will have to be done while he sleeps. No need for an infection. He decided that this would make it impossible for him to walk, and with the splinter it was hard enough. No matter how much we assured him that if he would let us get the splinter his foot would feel better he was determined that we were wrong. No experience with splinters here. I know that it hurts and it makes me sad that he is hurting but I also know if he would listen he would feel better.

Well, I am off. Hopefully the men will head up soon! Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that everyone is making a few more summer memories, at it is quickly coming to a close, which makes me pretty sad.

Big Bed Little Room

So as many of you know we have a lake place. I love coming here and just spending time with my boys! Making memories is the best thing ever. What you may not know is our bed is horrible!! I seriously cannot imagine that a prison cot is worse, especially considering all of the other rights prisoner's think they should have. Anyway, today started out with Brandon having to work some, which pretty much changed my plans but I made it work. After work we picked up the new bed. Our friends Nick and Jessica just got a new bed and so they were getting rid of their old one and knew the condition of ours at the lake and asked if we wanted it. Talk about answered prayers. Another key point is our old bed was a double bed, the new one is a king sized bed.

We have a door to the outside in our bedroom, but we never use it. In fact it is sealed off. We unsealed it, said a prayer and the bed was inside! It takes up most of the room, but I do not care. I am actually looking forward to bedtime tonight.

All that said, I am off to bed shortly. I am going to edit a few pictures, and then say good night! Again, thank you to Nick and Jessica for making this not a dreadful thought tonight!

Shopping with Danny

So today was a day all about shopping. I had to get School supplies out of the way. John Michael spent the night with Nana because he was not interested, Danny however was excited about spending the day with me.

We were able to get almost all of it an Target for really great prices. I was really glad too. I plan on getting the paper items...like the paper towels, clorox wipes, etc. on soap.com. I love this website and I can save a lot using them. I had gotten some of it already online at Walgreens. I love e-mail coupons!

I am at a loss though. John Michael needs a Brush So Big by Crayola. anyone who knows what this is and where I can find it I would love to hear from you!

Danny will be 8 in exactly one week so I am a little sad. I cannot believe that my big boy is getting even bigger. I swear it seems like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital.

Wii Play

Well, today I took some time with the boys to play the Wii, they always want me to, but it is not my favorite thing, but the more I have thought about it they will not want their mom interfering forever so while they want me to help them I plan to do just that.

Danny and I have decided to do the Wii Fit every morning. While it is not the best for breaking a sweat, it is great for stretching. Plus it gives me some time with him.

John Michael headed to Nana's tonight and Danny wanted t stay with me and Brandon. He said he wanted to watch a movie together without having to tell John Michael to be quiet. I had to laugh and I enjoyed my snuggle time with Danny.

I met Catherine and delivered her wedding photographs, and the book that I made for her. I hope that she like them all. She seemed to. We all actually ended up stuck in Starbucks while the monsoon came.

Well, I am off. I hope that you all have a great night.

My Little Fire Man

So Danny used to always think that he was a fireman. He had plans to graduate 5K and head straight for fireman school. When he saw how close it was to our house, it was even more of a definite. Of course like all little boys they change who they will be when they grow up 100+ times over the years. Now it is a professional baseball player, or a doctor, or maybe even a teacher. He also wants to be in the military. We shall see what the years bring to him.

I plan to encourage him to reach for the stars always. I also plan to give him the best education. This is why we do not attend public school. Though it would be cheaper, the lasting foundation of an education is something that nobody will ever be able to take away from him.

Today Danny and John Michael were playing and he came running in here in his fireman suit. This was a Christmas gift to him in 2008. Wow! That is about all I could say. Needless to say a picture was a definite requirement. I am glad he posed for me. He can be a cutie.

My boys amaze me every single day. And I learn from them something new. Many times it is just that I can get enough patience to get to bedtime.

Well, I am off to bed for now. I have had a long one and I am going to go on and assume that tomorrow will be too! Prayers for you all!

What the Desk?

So I am seriously not sure why I am posting this admission, but I am. I have been so busy with everything lately that I have not had time to get my office in order to work there, so the dining room table is being split by Brandon and myself. Well, his computer monitor alone takes up his half, but mine has my computer, my calendar, bills, cameras, the Cricut, birthday party stuff, baby shower stuff and well it is just a cluster of stuff, all that I am using.

I joke that I use organize chaos as a system, but this is my goal for tomorrow. Well this and getting out the remainder of the baby shower invitations out for Amanda. Danny's invites went out today, and I have to go to the post office to mail Catherine's DVDs tomorrow but other than that I plan to work my rear off so I can have some organization, which is much more preferred and allows me to get a lot more done.

I have been invited to submit some photographs to an Art Show in NY for musicians. Now I need some Musicians to photograph! We will see how it works out, just because I submit doesn't mean I will be accepted, but to be asked means so much! If you know any musicians tell them to holler at me! ASAP!

Well, I better get back to editing and then to bed. I am pretty tired and with all I am determined to get done tomorrow I have to get some rest. Mom called to see if the boys one or both want to spend the night tomorrow night. After I talk to her in the morning and make sure she is still up for it, I will ask them and see what they say.

For tonight know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!

Home and Back to Work

Well, we had to come home early this morning. Brandon had to go to Clay Rec for the youth football sign ups, and I had (still have) so many pictures to work on. Not to mention school work.

I do feel like I made progress today, but in some areas I fell backwards too! I am going to bust it in all areas this week to see what I can accomplish! I have so much I need to do.

Danny's invitations are almost done, I have a stack of DVDs going out for photography clients. I ordered the cutest thing for Amanda's baby shower. She will be able to use it at the hospital, and at her house after Alexa gets here. I hope that she likes it. I know I love it, and would have loved one for the boys. They are a little old now. Anyway. As soon as it is completed I will let you all know. Probably with Pictures!

Anyway. I have so much to do but with all the bill paying and invitation addressing that has been taking place I figured this was a great time to use my address book for my picture. Plus I was in overdrive and well, it seemed like the best thing to take a picture of as it is controlling my life right now.

We did not do much else today. John Michael was sick, his hernia was giving him issues. It was a busy but not really fun Sunday. I do not like it when my babies are sick. I am sure all of you mom's out there know what i mean. Even as they get older, I feel helpless.

Well, I am off. Know that prayers will be said!

Great Saturday

We are still enjoying the lake, and while I have no intentions of watching the sunrise, the moon is amazing on the lake tonight. I still do not have access to my USB cable, so I will get this up as soon as possible.

Amy and Terry and the kids came up to spend the day with us. It was a lot of fun. The weather was strange, at times the water was warmer than the air. We had several rain showers, but no storms so the swimming was not impeded at all. The kids played in the water and even gave themselves and me a mud bath. It was pretty funny, but not easy to get off. I am not sure why people pay for this service?!

They also fished a good bit, we were glad to find a rod for everyone. They used all the worms, a few hot dogs, but the biggest attractor seemed to be the fritos. We laughed while these little fish attacked the ones that were accidentally thrown in, so of course a few more had to go in. John Michael even tossed in a Pickle chip but they seemed partial to Chilli Cheese Fritos. A little tip for all of you fishermen out there.

Brandon and Terry cooked steaks and corn on the cob on the grill and I made some mushrooms. It was a very yummy dinner! Of course Amy and I got a kick out of Brandon and Terry grilling again under an umbrella. Seems to be a habit they do not care to break.

Well, I am off to bed. The boys passed out as soon as Amy and Terry left. Good night and know that you are all in my prayers!

Seriously....TOO LOW

So today was a day full of many amazing blessings.

I woke up and had a few minutes to myself, then I got to talk to a great friend. Beth, thank you for making my day this morning and I am glad that nobody had to get run over!

When the boys got up they were in great moods and Brandon made breakfast! It was cinnamon rolls and orange rolls and they were very yummy.

We were getting ready to go to the water when my phone rang from a number I did not recognize. It was living social, the daily deal e-mail blast company. They were referred to my photography page and were interested in a deal. I was definitely interested. I will know Monday if it all worked out. This will be a great way to build some more business. Praying that it works out as planned and that when it runs it is a HUGE hit! If you do not currently get the deals please sign up and support this great company who wants to help my business!

Now for the TOO LOW. The boys and I went on down to the water while Brandon ate. I heard a plane that sounded a little too low, which is common with the crop dusters and what not. Well, it was a private jet of some kind and it was so low it had to do some fancy maneuvering NOT to hit the power lines that run from the Causeway to Coosa Island over the slough back towards our place. The maneuvering continued to get high enough not to take out the trees behind us. It was quite scary. Brandon even came out to find out what the heck it was. Get this, idiot did it again. I am going to write or call someone. That was seriously scary!

John Michael is jumping off the pier. He is even making up jumps, there is the Batman, the slippery, the sad, the flying pencil, the karate. It was so sweet. Danny was working on his dives. They are growing up so fast. All I can say is WOW!

Again, I am not actually posting this yet, because I cannot add pictures. I will post them all Sunday! I am about to head to bed. We replace the shower head, which I think has to be done yearly. We also put in a new bathroom faucet! Hopefully everyone likes it.

Well, I am off to bed! Good night everyone. Enjoy your weekend! Looking forward to tomorrow at the lake! Hoping for a pretty day and limited plane spottings.

To The Lake We Go...

Well today we are off to the lake, so I am writing this in real time jsyk, but I cannot post it until we get home. I forgot the USB cables for my cameras. Sometimes I amaze myself!

Today the boys and I had a few errands to run. We got those done all before noon, that was our goal. If it started storming again like yesterday being out in it was not something that I cared to experience. We pulled in the garage and the thunder started. I was proud of the perfect timing.

I started to work on Catherine's wedding album and DVD labels. Check out my photography journey blog for more on her wedding. It was beautiful. I cannot wait to deliver the products. I will touch base with her Monday. At least that is the plan. Hopefully it will work.

I also got some schoolwork done. In an attempt to relax a little more this weekend. While I am not done, at least progress has been made, which alone is a great feeling.

As soon as Brandon got off we loaded the truck and headed to the lake. It was a long trip because we had several stops to make, but it was pleasant. It lightening almost the whole trip. In fact it still is so I am off for now. Hopefully to bed soon. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To Go

So today was seriously wild. I was determined to be productive, and most importantly get tuition paid. Well, I got to the school, and the bank did not stamp the checks. Needless to say I was NOT happy! I was on my way to the bank when the bottom fell out. I am not one to be scared of storms, but this was insane. The wind and the rain were solid. I ended up pulling over twice and then a little prayer for me to get home was answered. The boys were freaking out which was making it even harder to stay calm.

When we got home I was so frazzled I asked Brandon if he would stop and get dinner. What I bought for us to have would have taken about 3 hours to cook, and at that point I needed to unwind not cook. Brandon is such a great person he came home with Zaxby's for us all. I appreciate him so much.

Well, I am off since it is almost 8 and I have two boys to get up, with the hopes that they will be able to go to bed later. Hopefully I will be able to blog on time tonight ;)

My Little Chef

Today was a very good day. We went to my mom's who has been in Oregon and did a few things around her house before she got home. She is home safe, sound, and exhausted. I talked to her for a little while, but told her to call me tomorrow that I was not going to call and wake her up. I am glad that she had a good time and was about to spend some time with family that we do not get to see nearly enough.

I also was able to get a lot accomplished with editing the photographs. Beach session is completed and blogged about, go check it out! Working on the wedding now. YAY for a busy growing business! I love what I do and am so thankful for all of the support that I have received.

I even made a dent in the laundry. Still have a ways to go to be done, but hopefully tomorrow I can round it all out.

Brandon and the boys like this weird concoction of food. Me, not so much, but I do make it for them. We were talking about the strangeness of it this past weekend so I decided to make it for them tonight. Danny wanted to learn how so I let him help. He is getting so big so fast.

Brandon went straight from the Network to the Ballpark to work on getting orders for this ball season. I am hoping that some more come in. Sunday is the last day for football registration and I hope that the orders come in for him. He is giving everyone through the first week of practice to order the package deal at an amazing discount!

While Brandon was there and after the boys ate we went to Amy and Terry's for a little swim time. Amy and I did some exercises while the kids played. It was a lot of fun! I hope that we can do it more. It was also just a nice way to relax at the end of the day! Thanks you guys! Danny and Sasha were hilarious with the waterproof camera and their skits!

Well, if John Michael is asleep I am headed there myself. We have a lot to do tomorrow, especially if the lake is in our future for this weekend?! Fingers crossed! I will be praying for all of you and I hope that you all have a day full of many blessings tomorrow. Who knew something as small as Danny helping with dinner could mean so much!

Make-Up and Cucumbers

Odd combinations? Just wait!

So today was productive. I got a lot done with editing and even some laundry. I got the school work that I had to get done completed. I still have a lot to do but at least progress is being made!

Today I had a very fun session with Jane, a Mary Kay consultant. I went to her Monday night meeting and she turned it into Mother Daughter night, where I took pictures of them after they were made up and even more beautiful than before. I had a blast and cannot wait to get to work on these photographs. While there I even got my eyebrows done, which made me a VERY happy woman! The little things that matter so much when we are mommas. More on the session in my other blog. Stay tuned!

While I was gone Brandon cut the back yard and helped Danny in his little garden. When I got home there were these 2 HUGE cucumbers on the counter. Yep, my baby boy grew them. He was so excited and I was shocked. I cannot wait to see how they taste! I wonder if it is a record for a 7 year old farmer?! Maybe I will actually weigh and measure them tomorrow.

I am looking forward to some swim time with Amy tomorrow night. We are going to do some excercises in the pool while the kids play! I am VERY excited! More on that tomorrow.

Well, I am pooped. I have to go put the towels in the dryer and then I am off to bed! I hope that you all had an amazing Monday! You will be in my prayers tonight!

Meetings and Friends

So today started late. I slept much later than I wanted or needed to but I guess my body had different plans. Oh well, it was still a productive day so I have no complaints.

Brandon had to go to Clay Recreation to be there for football registration. He will be video taping all of the football games, as long as enough people purchase the discs. I really hope that they do. I will go one Saturday with him to get some photographs, but this will be his fall baby. The boys had to go with him today, because I had to meet with a couple about a wedding. He said that the boys were great and as always Danny got a kick out of helping. There were no orders today, but several fliers went home. Come on everyone, it is a great deal! Praying that more orders will start to come in. Also praying that more people sign up, right now I think registration is pretty low.

The couple that I met with today was amazing. They are so sweet and are going to be stunning to photograph. I am looking forward to August 5th when I am able to be a part of their very special day. TC and Danielle I know that you two will be very happy! They are very easy going, which is always nice.

After Brandon and I got home from our business for the day everyone changed and we headed to Amy and Terry's for dinner and swimming. It was great spending time with them and Terri. The kids all had a blast. Between the pool, hot dogs, and the Wii I am not sure what they enjoyed the best. After dinner the moms all got into the pool and it was a lot of fun! Thanks again for having us over.

Well, everyone is home and it was not long at all and the boys (all three of them) were passed out. I love it when they play themselves to bed. Tomorrow is going to be busy, laundry, cleaning errands and a photo session are just a glimpse into what it will bring.

So I am going to join everyone else in dreamland. I am pretty beat. I am so thankful for good friends and a growing business, all of which were the highlights of the weekend. Praying for everyone!

To Work With Mom and Dad

Brandon and I had a wedding today, but it was more than work it was for a friend of mine. Kaylea and I grew up together and so on this work venture the boys got to come along. They were SO good too. Of course there might have been a little threatening taking place, before hand, but it was all great. In fact Brandon and I were still talking about how well they behaved just a few minutes ago. I am definitely very proud of them. I love the fact that Danny wanted to help, and he did. John Michael hung out some, but mainly played in the play room or sat in the back pew at the church with his DS. Regardless they were great, and I loved spending the day with them.

So I will talk a little about Kaylea's wedding, but as soon as I get the pictures edited I will be blogging about it more. Kaylea is a remarkable person and Brian see that about her. I was so glad to see her so happy and so in love. I am definitely a wedding crier, yes even as the photographer. Kaylea definitely got me! I was just so happy to be there for her.

When we got home I got to work. I was almost done with Catherine's wedding, so I have finished them up. Then I did a few to get up for Kaylea, but will start on Brooke's session now. Well, tomorrow. I am glad to be able to tell that I am making progress and even better is that I am staying busy. YAY! Again, I love doing what I love!

Well, the boys crashed tonight while watching Grow Up Timmy Turner. I am glad that they liked the movie though. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day. They are going to the ballpark with Brandon, please pray for orders! I have a meeting with potential clients for a wedding in August. I have my notes ready, and will be at Starbucks tomorrow. Pray for positive results!

Well, I am off to bed for tonight. I will be praying for you all tonight as I do every night, but I will also be praying for Kaylea and Brian and their family. With the love I saw today I know that happiness will always be with them.

Summer Swimming

Today was a great day! Brandon was off, after working till almost midnight I know that he was glad. This morning was pretty laid back. Danny showed Brandon the Wii cabinet that he had worked so hard on, and the boys played the Wii. They crack me up with how much fun they can have on it. Plus as they have gotten older the fighting with it is not quite as bad.

We were headed over to Deborah's to swim with Kimy and Morgan this afternoon. They boys were so excited to be swimming in a pool. So far this summer it has been the ocean and the lake. I was excited too just to be able to go spend some time with friends and let the boys play. They love the pool, so I knew that they would wear themselves out. We headed to their house and Brandon had some things to do for the business so he headed out too.

John Michael love Morgan, and Danny loves being the oldest. He is so good with Morgan and making sure that she is okay. Danny was diving for buried treasure and Morgan had carried her little pool over so he put some in for her so that she could play too. She loves to throw the torpedoes and the treasure to the bottom for Danny to go get.

I worked with John Michael some on swimming without floaties, but for most of the time he wanted his shark on. That is fine too, but I do want him to know that he can do it. He was doing really good and I am so proud of him. He will get it. Everyone told him what a bog boy he was. We laughed because when Brandon showed up he would not do it again. Oh well, maybe next time.

Thanks again to Deborah and Kimy for letting us come swim. Also for some adult time, it was so nice just to sit and relax and talk! Love you!

I have been working on editing pictures a lot. I have so much coming up and so much still to get done. It will all work out though. One at a time is all I can do. At least and keep some sort of focus happening. I am loving doing what I love though. It is truly the best career.

Well, I am off to bed it is going to be a busy one tomorrow. I hope that you all have an amazing weekend! Know that I will be praying for all of you to be abundantly blessed!

Wii Organization

So today I was much better. I actually felt like I could do something and since I was not having to wait on FedEx I decided to get the boys and head out. We have one of those cups that you fill up with change and it counts it. Anyway, it was in the van and was full so we put it on the workbench. Well, while we were getting in the van it fell and landed right on my heel. Seriously some of the worse pain I have ever felt. I still had some things I had to do so we went out, but we came on home. I took some medicine, and I had no idea it would render me unconscious. The boys were so good though and just had a blast on the Wii. I woke up about every 10 minutes but my foot hurt too bad to get up. It was bad, and I felt like crapola mom of the year. Anyway. When I told the boys it was time to put up the Wii Danny organized it. It made my heart swell. He is such a sweet heart!

Well, I am a day behind so I am off to write the most up to date blog!

Magically Delicious

My morning started on time and I actually was able to feel as though I accomplished something. I am determined to get myself back on a better schedule and today was as good of a day as any to get started. I had about 2 hours on the boys, which is always a plus. I started my day with some yoga and then coffee and editing! It was great.

John Michael got up about 7:30 and Danny about 9:00. I was folding some laundry when Danny got up and when I came in the living room he had made me a bowl of Lucky Charms. They were Magically delicious. This small gesture definitely made my entire day.

In fact the way that the day ended up going I was so glad to have this moment that was so special and genuine! Thank you Danny for being such a sweet boy. Who, by the way, is growing up WAY too fast.

Well, I am off to bed for tonight! I will be praying for you all. I hope that you have had some magic in your day, whether through a bowl of cereal, or another special moment. We all deserve a little magic in our lives!

Lights on for Caylee

Today was a very sad day especially for Caylee Anthony. I cannot believe that the Jury found her mother not guilty on all charges except for lying to the police. Seriously, not reporting your child missing for 31 days. Some of these people were actually parents. Casey's attorney claiming he could go home and tell his daughter that he saved a life made me want to throw up. Can he also tell her that he allowed a little girl's justice to be forgotten about. What if this person ends up hurting someone else. Seriously. All I can think is would he allow her to babysit? Maybe he should, and those 12 jurors. None of them were brave enough to face the media, which says a lot. I have to wonder were they paid? Promised a book deal? Really, why in the hell did they decide in 11 hours that the woman was not guilty. It truly makes me sick.

I love America and the way that our justice system works, but sometimes they get it wrong and when it is a time like this it is wrong in so many ways. I honestly would love to just know the why behind it.

I will not, and I am asking you all to do the same, watch Casey's television show when she is offered one, buy her book when it is written, I will not in any form or fashion let her make money (or the 12 idiots for that matter). She is a murderer and not even your run of the mill murderer a child, her child. I hope that the juror's, Casey and her attorney's all never sleep well again for the unjust that has come from this. It is pathetic.

The only peace that I get from this at all is the fact that she will have to answer to God. She will have her judgement day, and while she might be free (almost) she will have to answer for the past.

Tonight I will leave my porch light on, which is something I normally do not do, in memory of Caylee. I will help along with the rest of the world, it was over a million when I last check, to light up the skies for Caylee Anthony. She is with God and that I know.

Happy 4th of July

The 4th of July began with the Sunrise! Amy and I decided since it was about 5:30 we should just stay up for the night. If I get an hour of sleep I would be worse than if I got no sleep. It has been a while since I watched the sunrise because I did not go to sleep. It was really pretty too, once it finally happened. There was a point we wondered if it was a hoax and was not really going to rise just pop over the trees. We even contemplated trying to push the earth forward just a little to see if we could make it hurry up.

The kids were up at 8:30, which was really late considering we assumed they would be up at 6:30 at least Connor and John Michael. Well, we were wrong. It was ok though, I was able to pretty much have breakfast ready when they got up. Biscuits and cinnamon rolls, they were very happy with the choices. Of course they were ready to eat and jump in the water. Amy and I got the men out of the beds so that we would have some assistance watching them since they had some rest and we did not. Not to mention I had a paper to write.

Writing the paper was torture. It was something I typically could have done in a few minutes and instead it took a couple of hours. I got it posted, but have yet to read it again. I am sort of scared of what I wrote considering my state at that time. It was not good.

The kids played until the thunder started. Brandon and Terry went to grill when they got out of the water. We had pork chops, which again were very good! Brandon is becoming a grill master very quickly. Even the kids ate good, which is always good considering how hard they played.

When it was time to go I am always a little sad. I appreciate so much Amy helping me get the trailer cleaned. Thank you again. We had a goal on the road to stay awake and we did. We both ended up coming home though to neighbors still shooting fireworks. It is not New Year's no reason to wait till midnight, I wanted to go kick my neighbor's in the teeth, but I did not. I behaved. The boys passed out on the way home, and when we got home they went right back to sleep. I got in the shower and then the bed.

It was a great4th of July. It was complete with frogs, red mushrooms, guns with guys, toupeed (sp?) squirels, turtle stick fish, and best of all family and friends!
